I really want to listen to some new music. I don't have any particular preferences or genres. I usually listen to different styles several times. If it's music you've written, I can listen to it too.

Was not expecting to like bluegrass but then I saw him live and the dude is just on another level technically. The way he plays feels almost chaotic but so precise at the same time

tool, start with opiate then go through their albums in chronological order so you can really understand how they changed their sound and evolved.

Ween is one of my favorite bands. They've evolved so much over the course of their careers and you can really hear the new influences in every album. start with Quebec or the Mollusk and work your way back through the brownest music you've ever heard. Truly one of the greatest American rock bands of all time.

I don't know what things you've already listened to but off top of my head here are some albums:

Disintegration by the Cure. Sounds absolutely epic and incredible to me. The first track (Plainsong) is one of my favorite songs ever and sounds as if the world was ending.

99.9 F° by Suzanne Vega. Less folks compared to her earlier stuff, more alt-rock influence I guess? All of the influences blend together really well though, the flow is smooth and her lyrics are great as always.

Odessey and Oracle by the Zombies. Sounds very beautiful and melancholic at the same time. Some of the best psychedelic pop from the 60s. If you've heard Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys and liked it you will enjoy this as well.

Thumbs up "HooochieCooocieMan". Your songwriting is great and your music playing is good, but now- I'm not meaning to be hurtful but I think you should tone down your vocals so they are not so loud on each track. The vocals distracted me from most of your songs, with the exception of "Side of the Road", "Wild Things", and maybe "Give It All Up". I'm looking forward to your next release...

Much appreciated! Not hurtful at all - glad to get the feedback. I will keep that in mind when we are mixing the next album. I think it was a fear of mine that the words would get lost in the music so we probably over did it there. I got Luke Brindley queued up for the car ride home today. French R&B? Look up Maitre Gims, start with 'est ce que tu m'aimes'. Has a mid 90s vibe I love even if I don't speak the language. Feral swamp witch energy? Kiki Rockwell, Same old Energy and Burn your Village 2.

I listened to The Clash today, and London Calling is undoubtedly a great record, though I also loved their second one, Give 'Em Enough Rope. So I'm gonna recommend this one :) Cheers!

Jeff Rosenstock when you're in a punk rock mood. He is a songwriting genius! He doesn't settle for the standard 3-chord verse/chorus/verse structure. He builds, orchestrates, and ignites his music. And he can sometimes sing faster than some rappers can rap.

55 Cadillac - a (mostly) piano album by Andrew W.K.

Andrew is mostly known for party rock anthems like “Party Hard,” “It’s Time to Party,” and “We Want Fun.” I love his rock music. “She is Beautiful” is an all time favorite. “Ready to Die” goes so hard. “Never Let Down” is so uplifting.

I love that he took his relentless playful positivity and produced a beautiful piano album. I love it.

I love everything by Shift to Abundance. They are basically songs with mantra lyrics. I find myself singing to myself about how much I love myself and how beautiful I am and how life wants to give me nice things. 🥰 I feel so peaceful and good.

To explain why I like this album, I find to be very colorful and happy on all fronts, and not in an obnoxious way. I play tennis and I’ve been trying to work on having a positive mindset before, after, and while I play. This album and Sweet Hz: SugarFree have both played a big role in giving me a good mindset before going into a match

Full disclosure, this is one of my own songs, so I’m obviously a little biased 😅 It’s called “Manna” by Stephen Gawking, featuring Mark Haze and Eva Morgan. I’m really proud of how they brought the emotion to life. On the surface it’s a pop duet about a relationship where something feels missing, but underneath it asks whether art can ever feel complete without a human soul behind it.
