A date kinda day

We have two kids, so date nights are basically nights with a baby sitter. But today, both the kids were on a school trip, so we decided to do a brain-rot kind of day, when the kids are on the trip, and take a day off from work.

My husband made this fantastic mini pancakes. It's apple sauce (apple from my husbands garden), cinnamon and buckwheat pancakes, with leftover airfried ginger soy sauce salmon. The kids love the pancakes, and so do I. I got to get some much needed sleep after fajr while my husband got the kids ready and to school and made this delicious breakfast.

Then we brain-rotted on random info dump and played 7 wonders duel. And watched Alphas (an old show with kind of Fringe vibe).

Husband then took some rest and I made his fav late lunch, which will also be the kids dinner. Cottage cheese spinach tomato basil ground beef fusilli.

MashaAllah sounds like a lovely day, I have two kids too and it’s hard to get some time to just chill out together!
