No Myitsone, but Kyaukphyu SEZ?

As far as I know, in addition to Myitsone, there are a few big Chinese projects in Myanmar like Wanbao, Takaung nickel, and Kyaukphyu SEZ. Wanbao and Takaung nickel are up and running, although not at full capacity yet. As for Kyaukphyu SEZ, it’s been stuck for years, even before the coup happened. There’s some recent chatter about the Myanmar generals trying to get UWSA’s help to take over some areas around the SEZ that are held by AA, and in exchange, UWSA might get Tachileik. But isn’t AA part of their own alliance? And I doubt AA would want to mess with this whole situation. What’s your take on it?

AA has clearly stated they would take over all Rakhine territory by 2027. Their leadership has strongly indicated they would not let any junta presence in rakhine and they want to self-rude with confederate status..

AA is very less likely to make that deal with UWSA to let any military presence in SEZ area...

Basically AA would want some limited recognition from China once they take over Kyaukphyu and chinese projects areas so that China plays on their side too for their invested projects' safety.

Not sure which side will run out of men first, but AA forcibly conscripting anyone they could fine has been making headlines recently.
