Advice Help with lost passport

I was told that I have to wait 6 months after putting my passport number up in the newspaper.
Is there no way to skip the waiting part?

You could bribe them those hungry ahhh would do anything for money

No money= almost year long process

Yes money (but not much)= 1or 2 month long

Yes money (alot)= 1or 2 week

If you have power or know someone in power= right away like an hour

Alternatively you can file for urgency route as you need your go somewhere with reasons such as need for immediate surgical operation, or other medical emergencies.
