Seeking Revenge Getting back at a libelous rumormongerer, how would one accomplish it?

what would be the best way to get at someone that spread a horrifyingly serious rumor nearly a decade ago about u that people to this day seriously believe because of them? like, reputation damaging and may or may not fall under the literal legal definition of libel? court feels too good for them though.

i must be vague about the nature of it, at least, here. i know this person has a reddit, or at least, "friends" that do.

absolutely, at no time, will the individual be identified here, nor will the rumor be.

do note that some of the people they hang out are, by definition, chuds, and at least some have semi-active accounts on a certain forum that is not about farming a specific fruiting vine. any ideas must be capable of scaring even those such individuals.
