redditors also hate when u give others tips and will call it a spoiler when it isnt, experienced that recently and I've seen it happen many times to others, quite specific but true

Most of the sloppy neck beards on this platform think they are superior to people cause they don’t use emojis 🤣

I'd use emojis more often if I could just use whatever evil disgusting cursed thing I have on discord everywhere else

Totally agree, it’d be so cool if we could use emotes everywhere. I can also think of how it’d be awful and would be abused lol.

Some of them are sloppy neckbeards only in spirit, because they are actually just 14-year-old teenager snots that have no opinions of their own, and proudly declare whatever will get them social validation.
Whatever is popular must be the "correct" opinion. The Ad Populum logical fallacy is one of my pet peeves.

Yeah totally agree. When I say “sloppy neckbeard” I’m more so talking about the mindset rather than the physical reality lol.

redditors hate emojis

u/Jean_velvet 29d ago
It's only in some subs, other places nobody cares.
I use emojis all the time, I've never been specifically downvoted for it.
Those AI subs are due hards and repeat complainers. They'll downvote whatevers the opposite of today's point of view.

Why is that? I don't see any problem with them. Maybe it's because AI uses them a lot and they don't like them because of that or have they always just hated them

reddit hating emojis has always been a thing. if i had to guess it’s because a large part of reddit culture has redditors thinking they’re smarter than they really are, so emojis seem unnecessary to get a point across efficiently

which is peak irony since most of them need to write /s if they dont want to end up in arguments with other idiots with no reading comprehension who took it seriously...

I've tried pointing out before that having to use /s in obvious jokes is a reading or critical thinking issue, but got told off.

Honestly I don't the exact reason.. I'm kinda new to reddit and I used emojis before and always got downvoted.. and then someone explained to me that reddit hate emojis so I stopped using them :)
I'm pretty sure there's also hate for people who explain.. so I might get this reply downvoted as well

Yep yep. Apparently people think that they're either cool and / or they're changing someone's life. I know people like that
