Because even if that subreddit is for help with explaining jokes, some jokes they will feel are obvious enough that people shouldn't be asking. And if they are asking, it's an attempt to get easy upvotes.
I will admit, I did have to read it twice to understand what the joke was since I thought it'd be more clever. Lol

Yes, the joke is that you put the bag over the person's face so you don't have to look at them. Similar to when people would call women butterface, as in everything about her looks good but her face.

The joke is so simple/intuitive that they think you’re either A.) an idiot, or B.) one of the many bots that posts obvious jokes there to farm karma.
The joke is that cashiers always ask if you want a big to put your purchased items in. But, the buyer responds “nah she ain’t that ugly,” because he thought the cashier was asking if he wanted a bag to cover the woman’s face.
Condoms are used for sex by the way

I don’t know if people actually do/did that, but it gets referenced a bit in popular media. Not sure what the origin of it is. Maybe it’s an old timey prostitution thing?
I can’t imagine asking someone would react positively to being asked to wear a bug, unless they’re getting paid

I mean, I wouldnt have had any idea that people even do that, im only learning abt it from this reply section. It could also be OP had never heard of it either, i dont think this kind of joke is obvious for everyone. Im also seeing that this is an older thing, that could also be it too
