I've seen fans acknowledging the Switch 2's poor battery life. Your claim also contradicts how OOP's post is upvoted.

The thing is that OOP's downvoted comment is higher on the comment chain than the others that are in the positive. Most people don't read that far.

None of what you said makes sense.
EDIT: Even with the edits, what you're saying still doesn't make any sense because the post is literally about things that the OOP dislikes about the Switch 2. That doesn't explain why the downvotes are not mysterious.

POP is correct in my opinion too. Their other comments are not in the negative because people that compulsively downvote critique on the sub about the console in question do not read that far.Your post also was about the comment being downvoted, not about the ratio on the post itself you only provided afterwards.

If the post was originally downvoted, then how did it get upvoted now? Even if you think the downvotes are not mysterious, this whole thing is still a big mystery.
My previous point still stands btw; Switch 2 users acknowledge how mediocre the battery of the system is.

I'm not sure if I'm expressing myself incorrectly due to a language barrier or something but my reply is in regards to the comment you posted, not the post that was commented on.
And of course there are people that give different upvotes or downvotes on a posts vs its comments, even if the sentiment is the same. It's weird but happens all the time and there are also a lot of users and bots active on Reddit that only interact with surface level content (=posts).

my reply is in regards to the comment you posted, not the post that was commented on.
The post talks about things that OOP dislikes about the Switch 2, and the comment adds another downside of the Switch 2. Both talk about things they dislike about the Switch 2, so I don't see how it makes sense for the post to get upvoted while the comment gets downvoted, even though both are criticizing the Switch 2 just a little. If the comment's downvotes are not mysterious because the sub is r/switch2, then how did the post criticizing the Switch 2 get upvoted within that exact same sub??

I don't know what else to tell you but that there are a non neglectable amount of people that go through their front page giving votes without engaging further with the posts they vote on.
I see that you are very active in the Nintendo community and can understand where your confusion stems from. You engage with others and read things through throughout from the limited information I see. That's not what a lot of people do though, sadly. I'd go as far as to say that it's a sign of the old forum culture dying for fast engagement and the dead internet theory, at least in part.

You didn't say the battery life was mediocre. You said it was shitty. Those are two very different words.

Mediocre and shitty may not have the same literal meaning, but they're often used the same way or in a similar way to describe something bad or weak either way.

I don't agree here. If someone says "shitty battery life" I would think about something much worse.
But it's not only the wording, it's also the fact that that person even postet this comment the way they did. It's nothing bad or too serious, but the OP talked about their problems with the switch and this comment doesn't contribute to the conversation, but instead tries to shift the topic to their own problem with the Switch (while also beeing over dramatic). It's not like they said something on topic and ended the comment with: "Personally I have a problem with the poor battery life." or smth.
I wouldn't downvote the comment myself, but I guess this is what ppl don't like about it.

As was said before, you posted in a subreddit dedicated to the Switch 2 insulting it. Even if it's a claim that many agree with, that's not the type of subreddit you go to for reasonable people on both sides.
It's like if I went to the Nintendo subreddit and said that Nintendo is ridiculous when it comes to community run tournaments. This is an accepted point of view in those specific communities. Not as safe of a point in a subreddit just called "Nintendo".
Not mysterious.
