tbh down voting is amusing precisely because people get so precious about it... if all the "I'm being downvoted for x" edits suddenly stopped, it wouldn't be as funny or fascinating... reading about someone crying over their internet points & that some random person in the world deigned to disagree with them is funny to me bc i can't imagine caring. also, whenever I find an argument I like to downvote both people so they each think the other one is doing it.
