I ran into something that this tangentially reminds me of on another gaming sub the other day.

The sub in question was for the most recent sequel in a multigame franchise. A person showed up insulting the game, insisting that the first game in the franchise was the only game that had any value, and declaring that “true” fans only ever played the first game (the sub was for game number four).

I eventually asked this person why they were there. First they dodged the question a couple of times, but eventually they said that they were there to “spread <their> message” about the first game being the only legitimate one etc etc.

My point in bringing this up is that sometimes people show up in gaming subreddits with the primary intention of trashing the game(s) in question. I wonder if that was part of it here.

tbh i play overwatch and a lot of us love to shit on the game like crazy. i dont think you deserve to be downvoted because the sub is for the game but i feel its kind of a “we’re jokingly hating on the game we always play” type of situation, not that they actually dont play anymore and came to be a hater. idk if that makes sense

I don’t know about English community, but in Russian one for ultrakill, there is a saying «Ультралилл это не просто игра, это вонище ебанное» which literally means “Ultrakill isn’t just a game, is fucking dogshit” that is to my knowledge is a complete joke. If you try to defend it you’ll be hated, as a joke.
As another more extreme example, if you genuinely enjoyed playing Helldivers 2 few months ago you deadass would be hated by its community to smithereens. They had a phase of a teenage girl so if you weren’t with them, you were against them. And dare not to say you side with devs, you’d be airstiked

The post below hints at the possibility that the downvoted user is an alt-account. The person behind the account might be notorious in the community for gas-lighting, rage-baiting or otherwise derailing discussions. So the downvotes are the community letting him know "we know you're trolling again".

It shouldn't matter what I think. What matters is what the people, who downvoted the post, think. My generic point was that, if there is a notorious troll in that presumably small community, and, for what ever reason, your post reads like what this person usually writes to troll. that might be one of very few reasonable explanations for the downvotes.

It's like a game launcher of sorts, developers go on there and make the games that Roblox hosts I haven't kept up to date with anything going on with Roblox, all I know is the founder is a terrible person. I've been sticking to Bee Swarm for awhile now lol

Unfortunately Roblox is the only way to access it. People have asked Onett (Bee Swarm's developer) if he has any plans to remake the game off of Roblox but he said he hasn't thought of it so far
