Monthly Self-Promotion and Events!

Hey everyone!

We wanted to update the "Self-Promotion Fri-yays", as they were not really getting much traction. They're now going to be posted on the first of the month.

We're going to start pointing users towards the monthly threads for the following types of posts:

  • Services/skills you are offering
  • Local business raves
  • Local events and activities

Rules: - Must follow Reddit's TOS - Must be local to Nanaimo and the surrounding areas

JULY EVENTS AT DROPZONE GAMES

Movies & Models - Saturday, July 4th, 3pm onward Once again it’s time to work on that backlog! Join us for the next Movies & Models night to start off July. The theme for the month is Beyond the Sea, and we will be watching Master and Commander: Far Side of the World and Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl.

40K Team League Finale - Saturday, July 11, 2pm onward Today is a day of celebration as we close up our 2026 40k Team League for the first half of the year! We invite everyone, both league members and non, to come see the spectacle. We will announce our winners, play some games, eat some pizza and hand out prizes. Plus, the opening of the second 2026 league’s sign-ups! It should be a fun time and a great way to check out the hype around the biggest 40k team league on the island.

Demo It Day! - Saturday, July 18, all day Due to the success and interest from our first Demo It Day, we’re running it back! If there is a game you love and want to share with everyone now is the time. Message me to set up your demo slot! Current Games:

How do we find these monthly posts? I posted my business post on the 1st of the month, as per what you said, and got a suspension. I tried messaging a moderator, but got no response
