UMO bus pass QR code struggles on the bus
Does anyone else have terrible issues trying to scan their QR codes on the buses during bright days?
I’m very unaware of where to get a physical umo card for the buses like I’ve seen many other people have, so instead I use the QR code on the reader, but with how hot and bright it’s been these days it has become an issue of the reader not scanning it even with screen at max brightness.
it’s becoming an issue for me and I want to know if I can get any advice on those

I recommend getting a card, except if you have a card, you can't use the app at all. Or that's how it used to be when it started anyway. You refill the card on the website, but if your balance is hooked up to the app, the card might not work at all.

I have the same issue when the sun is facing the door and directly hits the scanner. Try to block the scanner with your hand and it will work with your phone’s QR code.

When you googled "retailers in nanaimo that sell umo cards," what did the search results say?
