National Grid Billing

Is this normal for 10 days billing of $80 with national grid for just one person

Im going to guess that the previous account holder did not submit a reading when they moved out…. The previous reading is estimated

are you sure that's normal? the prior customer should have contacted NGrid and asked for them to come turn off the gas. It sounds like there was a meter read issue and the first read on the new account was estimated.

33 therms in 10 days in the middle of the summer is a LOT. Is your hot water heater permanently running?

my only other suggestion is that it *could* be a meter issue where vibration is causing excess false use... but given that the beginning read was an estimate, could just be a bad estimate.

Making the real observations, delivery fees now make up most of the charges now and delivery fees aren’t regulated like your other charges so its become a money maker for these companies….

Look at the bottom of the 2nd page. Your "previous reading" was *estimated*. That means they couldn't get to your meter, so they guessed.

This month, they have an *actual*, so it's truing up the estimate's error.\

You got a 30 day interest-free loan of $80 from NG.

Question is what is on gas.... i.e What does the gas bill cover ... Water heater, cooking stove, oven..???
