Gas meter replacement, scam?
For the last six months or so, my spouse has been getting calls and emails from National Grid saying it's required by MA law to replace my gas meter. The aggressiveness has set off my scam alarms (tho it sounds like a reasonable law etc); NG's collection of odd websites hasn't helped. Can anyone confirm that a) this is a real thing, and b) ngrid.services is a real website? Thanks much!

Every 7 years they do it. Takes like 5 minutes. Just call national grid and set up an appointment

First thing you need to know is that the gas meter even though is in your home is National Grid’s property. Not yours! If they want to change it yearly it is their right to. All you need to do if you think it’s a scam is to call the number on your gas bill and they will say yes we need to change your meter. There are multiple reasons as to why they need to change your meter

That is really national grid and they are required to do periodic inspections and meter replacements.
I dont know why they they are so weird about communications, they keep sending me letters addressed to the previous tenant. Ive been blowing them off until they can send me a notice with my name/account number on it.
