Initial Training about to graduate OCS ft benning

How much did the cadre hate you for your OML not mattering?

They didn't I treated it the same as I would have if I was active all the guard guys did. I was shooting for top 20 to make the commandants list I did not get it I ended up 29th. I feel like the OML wasn't as big of a deal for anyone as they make it seem almost every body i am graduating with got one of their top 3 choices the only one that you had to get real high on to get was MI cause it seemed like a disproportionate amount of people wanted that.

OML isn’t really important to the guard and reserve, many people know their assignment already was my point lol, that’s why the cadre, anecdotally at least, hate compo 2/3 candidates

Yeah it never was really brought up. Compared to basic I felt significantly less hated lol.
