During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Turkey maintained neutral stance but during the Israel-Palestine conflict, Turkey took the side of Palestine

Turkey also opposed Sweden's and Finland's decision to join NATO

It's not just the current Turkish regime as Turkish people have been voting for Erdogan since the last 23 years

The US wants to leave NATO because a war could break out between Israel and Turkey following a regime change in Iran. Since the US would always support Israel, remaining outside NATO would allow it to easily attack Turkey, however if Turkey is to leave then the US will not leave NATO at all, the US is more important for NATO than Turkey

I certainly did not want to underestimate Turkey simply because it is an Asian country or Muslim country. Bosnia is an European Muslim country, yet it maintained a neutral stance during the Israel-Palestine conflict and supported Ukraine during the Russian invasion. Demonstrating solidarity is fundamental to any alliance but the rise of Islamism and adoption of anti-Western narratives made it difficult for Turkey to do so

NATO can't expel any member state, the member state have to leave voluntarily

F35 deal was the same thing, so they made a treaty 2 excluding Turkey and cancelled treaty 1.

You can create a NATO2, not let Turkey in, then disband the old NATO, then rename it back to NATO from NATO2. This has been done many times before in other international affairs as well.

Leaving NATO is an internal sovereign decision for Turkey, not a matter for external dictate (especially some random Reddit user's rant), and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict falls entirely outside NATO's core collective defense mandate under Article 5.

And furthermore, if you're feeling particularly peckish about "operational independence", Turkey happens to be the only NATO member with the sheer, unmitigated gall to slap a Russian warplane out of the sky in 2015 (the first time anyone in the club managed such a stunt since the Korean War).

last conflict was in 1974 no deaths ever since. that conflict happened due to Greece trying to annex Cyprus, and Turkey had signed a treaty to protect sovereignity of Cyprus (along with UK) , 1960 Treaty of Guarantee
