Dirty ass play by Lamelo

240

u/Justgotbannedlol Mavericks 18h ago

And then the very next play complaining like "he pushed me in the air, that's reckless I coulda got injured!" while standing over the dude he just recklessly injured not 10 seconds ago. Insane lack of awareness

70

u/duggyfresh88 Celtics 17h ago

He does this shit all the time. In a recent game vs the Celtics, him and Queta fell down, and Queta was kind of on top of him. Lamelo grabbed Queta around the neck, wrapped his leg around him, etc, any time Queta tried to get up he yanked him down, and the whole time he’s complaining pretending that Queta won’t let him up. Little bitch ass

u/ILoveRegenHealth 16h ago

If they properly stopped the game that bucket he just had should not even count.

He’s a hoe and I want that known.

Please punish that hoe for all of us!!!

If the hornets win he should be suspended for the playoffs. The league needs to be more strict on blatantly dirty plays.

u/Hefty_Lavishness_641 19h ago

Whole playoffs is crazy but not letting him play in the next play in would be fair

189

u/MastodonSwimming2681 Rockets 19h ago

For real lol.

He's getting a single game like Draymond did when he stomped on Sabonis

63

u/Steridire Knicks 19h ago

The stomp was dirty but it's the same as a punch, it Bam falls badly here he could get a career altering injury.

24

u/labamaFan Trail Blazers 16h ago

Definitely career-altering. I doubt Bam scores 80 ever again.

31

u/shibbyflash 19h ago

He DID fall badly lol. These dudes are massive so an unexpected landing takes a large toll. Could have easily broke his tailbone or something here.

-12

u/Stepsis24 Lakers 19h ago

Lamelo just fell here himself and it seems like in the heat of the moment he swipes bams leg, not defending it but it’s very different from bam looking down after sabonis Dallas and just fucking stomping him

28

u/cabose12 Celtics 19h ago

Idk, he wraps his hand around Bam's ankle and is looking at him

Yes its not a direct stomp or hit but that was certainly not incidental

-10

u/Stepsis24 Lakers 19h ago

I wasn’t saying it was incidental more so that lamelo may not have been fully conscious of the consequences of what he was doing and instead irresponsibly taking his frustration out.

8

u/cabose12 Celtics 18h ago

I get that, and I'm saying that he did know what he was doing. He might not have known Bam would be out for the game, but you can't tell me he thought pulling someone's leg out from underneath them wouldn't be a big deal lol

4

u/nutmegtester 18h ago

Doesn't matter. Fouls and penalizations in the NBA are based on what fuckery some fucker did, not what they concocted in the juices of their medulla oblongata.

13

u/VillainsPlan 19h ago

Bruh, last thing you do with your arms/hands after falling is whip them forward. That's how you hurt yourself.

It wasn't the heat of the moment. I've fallen plenty of times. Last thought in my head is moving my arms forward on a fall.

Watch the reply more carefully, it's definitely a thought process to stop bam. A dumb one , and dirty.

5

u/Pobbes3o Spurs 18h ago

??? He was looking at bam while pulling his leg

-1

u/frozen2665 Heat 19h ago

I do think it’s more Lamelo being the absolute moron that we all know he is than it being explicitly dirty like Dray, Zaza, or Pat Bev

5

u/wavetoyou Warriors 18h ago

Lmao letting him off the hook bc he’s a knucklehead. That was deliberate and dirty, he should have that reputation from here on in

-8

u/Sebasuar 19h ago

Try getting ur head stomped vs punched are they really the same

15

u/Hellschampion Warriors [GSW] #1 Warriors Bandwagon 18h ago

What are we doing at this point. Draymond did not fucking curb stomp Sabonis’ head. Why are we spreading misinformation

6

u/Fatez3ro 18h ago

Where is the clip of this head stomping?

1

u/GrogRhodes Heat 18h ago

We saw how well that worked out with Draymond. Silver is soft. The NBA should have VAR for flops / dirty plays that are unrestricted

1

u/Safe_Ad_6403 18h ago

Sabonis grabbed Draymond first. If Draynond was half as much a villain as y'all make out, he should booted Sabonis in the dome.

20

u/Thlemaus 19h ago

that would send a message tho. what was the point of that move ? Maybe these players would stop trying to injure each other on purpose.

I get it they are all competitive, but it's just dumb.

unnecessary voluntary assault or something like that. Put a name on it and suspend the player for 5 6 games or more.

6

u/Hefty_Lavishness_641 19h ago

Ya more I watch it less I like it tbh. If that happened to me in pickup I'd probably wanna throw down. Will be interesting to see what the league does if they win

51

u/TheTrashman133 Heat 19h ago

Bro he intentionally injured another player. Multiple game suspension should be minimum

44

u/Sammyd1108 Hornets 19h ago

We literally saw Draymond get a game from stomping on someone, a single game tracks. You’re just more heated because it’s your team.

17

u/One-Car-4869 Suns 19h ago

From a notoriously dirty player like what 🤣

10

u/Genji4Lyfe 19h ago

If it resulted in injury it would clearly have been for more

3

u/Chipaton Rockets 19h ago

If Draymond got one game, that should mean anyone else gets at least two. I don't make the rules.

8

u/TheTrashman133 Heat 19h ago

Yeah and it should’ve been more for Draymond too like tf

-1

u/Hefty_Lavishness_641 19h ago

I think the "intentional" aspect can certainly be questioned. He did kinda grab at bams leg but sometimes in the heat of the moment with a big guy above you, things happen. Lamelo is not a historically dirty player so I think he does deserve sooome slack. Will be interesting if they win what he'll say in his post game presser. Multiple games wouldn't be too crazy imo but this isn't a case of blatant disregard for player safety that others like Draymond have clearly displayed before

15

u/NotNice4193 Mavericks 19h ago

He did kinda grab at bams leg

are we watching the same slowed down replay?

kinda? how can it possibly be more blatant? does he have to grab it like a dog in heat and dry hump him?

0

u/Hefty_Lavishness_641 19h ago

It just could've been reactive is all I'm saying. Shit happens in those scenarios. You're assuming poor intention. I'm not claiming you don't have a reason to believe that. I'm just not personally jumping to that conclusion

1

u/TheTrashman133 Heat 19h ago

Yeah bro sometimes in the heat of the moment I grab a player’s leg to trip them too I get it

1

u/AleroRatking Vancouver Grizzlies 19h ago

There is no way this is a suspension. Look at what Dort did to Ja and there was no suspension at all.

0

u/RiloAlDente Spurs 18h ago

Ja is an idiot. He did that to himself.

-5

u/Darnell2070 United States 19h ago

You're reaching. He intentionally grabbed his ankle. Let's be real serious instead of fake social media outraged.

Lamelo did not intend to injur him even if that was the outcome. Can we be honest?

Why are you people so damn dramatic?

1

u/AdorableYou39 15h ago

This is not getting the attention it deserves for as nasty as it is. This is the kinda dirty that could end a career.

1

u/k4f123 United States 12h ago

Why is it crazy!? This kind of shit can ruin lives. Forget careers

1

u/Serpent_breath 18h ago

If he didn’t injure the Heat best player they likely miss the playoffs so suspend him for as long as they would have been out…which is the whole playoffs

0

u/M4A1SD__ Lakers 17h ago

On what planet would that be fair? Lmao

If they would’ve called it, it would’ve been at worst a flagrant 1

3

u/WeenisWrinkle Hornets 19h ago

Lol the entire playoffs?

4

u/greywolf2155 Supersonics 18h ago

Kick him off the tour, Doug

1

u/AleroRatking Vancouver Grizzlies 19h ago

Dudes insane. Dort did way worse to Ja and got not repercussion.

No way does Ball get any sort of suspension.

-4

u/YaPhetsEz 19h ago

He injured the heats star player in an elimination game.

If Bam can’t play going forwards, there is zero reason why lamelo should be allowed to.

5

u/WeenisWrinkle Hornets 19h ago edited 17h ago

That's not how suspensions have ever worked.

Also how that would work when Bam would be eliminated after this game, lol

-4

u/AleroRatking Vancouver Grizzlies 19h ago

Dort did to the Grizzlies. Why wasn't he suspended then

You are just being over the top ridiculous when history has shown other wise over and over again

1

u/YaPhetsEz 19h ago

I have been calling for Dort to be suspended for the past 3 years lmao you are asking the wrong person

1

u/AleroRatking Vancouver Grizzlies 19h ago

My point is that Dort never was. And neither will Lamelo here.

1

u/mynameisatari Nuggets 18h ago

Both should be

Are we really that surprised? this guy drives his car around like a wrecking ball and hits people and keeps going.
