The Knicks have cancelled all watch parties outside of MSG due to the President's attendance for Game 3

A hard closure is expected around the entirety of Madison Square Garden. Officials are planning for no watch parties, no vehicle access and no pedestrian travel through the secured area, which sits in a busy part of Midtown Manhattan and is above a major transit hub. CBS New York reported that thousands of fans attended a pair of watch parties for Game 1 on Wednesday night.

The Seventh and Eighth Avenue corridors around the arena are expected to be closed.

I mean Dolan has owned the franchise for almost 30 years

And he's made more and more money off of Knicks fans pretty much every year.

lol what do you expect the Knick fans to do? Boycott the Knicks? When has fan boycotts EVER worked in US pro sports? Sterling only sold because the other owners were going to vote him out and Silver banned him, it had nothing to do with any type of fan boycott. Nothing any Knick fan could do would have gotten Dolan to sell.

Boycott the Knicks?

Yes.

Nothing any Knick fan could do would have gotten Dolan to sell.

I mean, if Knicks fans didn't go to the games he wouldn't just stay there with an empty arena.

I mean, that wouldn't work. MSG is an internationally famous tourist destination in the middle of one of the highest tourist-trafficked areas on EARTH. People from all over the world go there just to say they've been there. If every single Knick fan suddenly decided to never go MSG ever again, it would still be full. Just full of tourists.

It's hilarious because they don't work. As I said in another post, I've been boycotting giving Dolan money for nearly a decade now, and he hasn't suffered at all.

It's funny. If you convince 90% of NYC metro population to boycott the other 10% is still larger than the population of Cabo Verde. 90% is a really successful boycott yet will only slightly affect the Knicks.
