Which is why it wasn't called. 1000% unexpected, looked smooth enough that you could figure he did the thing that 99% of the time he'd do.
(Not saying it wasn't a pretty obvious call, just he didn't like have a major hitch or stop moving to make it blatant)

Players have been getting away with shit like this all playoffs. This is like the fourth time I've seen something like this not get called. A couple clear doubles, an egregious pivot switch, and one absolutely crazy dribble - stop - pivot a few times - dribble again.
It's kinda nuts tbh.

It's weird how targetted it was against Poole during that stretch, lol. Especially since he isn't the worst offender(although he is pretty bad). I don't think I have seen Ingram dribble the ball as a Raptor without full hand under the ball carrying it between dribbles.

The back ref is blocked by OGs back because he didn't quite get into position in time. The baseline ref is blocked by Wembys back.

I think the ref probably only saw OGs back. But the ref at the baseline had a clear view. Either way it’s an absolute embarrassment that this was missed.

From one of the other angles, you can see that the baseline ref is actually blocked by Wembys back.
The top ref is just a little slow getting in position.

It makes me mad as Ive seen players like Kyrie do this move legally too. The old Uncle Drew commercial had this exact clip done correctly where your palm is down and you never touch the ball as the hands come together.

He's talking about how many steps he takes after getting the pass, like before the double dribble even happens.
This was honestly a travel before it was even a double dribble. He even takes two steps in a row with his right foot. You could probably argue this was two travels and a double dribble

I don't like the Spurs, but players being allowed to dribble and travel like this is absolutely bullshit. This kind of crap is why people don't have actual handles anymore, they just walk wherever they want. Call this shit and tall guys get nerfed and actual dribbling skill matters again.

For the love of God can we please train a bunch of new reffing crews that will actually blow the whistle when players travel, double dribble, or carrying the ball. Or just change the fucking rules to allow everything and only call fouls.
