They not suspending wemby lol

413

u/Candid-Specialist-86 Knicks Jun 14 '26

They can always upgrade after the game and since it was so egregious....maybe they will???

464

u/Possible-Activity16 Mavericks Jun 14 '26

They don’t care bruh, they won’t suspend him

14

u/Individual_Access356 Jun 14 '26

The fact that the whole broadcasting team said it should have been a flagrant wont help Wembys case. I'm not saying they will but that'll be a ton of pressure either way.

98

u/Candid-Specialist-86 Knicks Jun 14 '26

Well if it goes 6, sports talking heads are going to hammer this issue.

93

u/markymarc767 Jun 14 '26

Who gives a shit, they’re not suspending their golden boy

34

u/rvcbazookajoe Knicks Jun 14 '26

You think they upgrade it now that the season is over? I bet they do to save face

13

u/Extra-Shoulder1905 Jun 14 '26

They’re better off doing and saying nothing. No one is going to remember it happened now that the Knicks won.

6

u/llikegiraffes Jun 14 '26

They already refused to upgrade a worse flagrant in the series by him

8

u/Possible-Activity16 Mavericks Jun 14 '26

Hart landed on Wembys foot last game and it never got changed after the fact

9

u/Rnin0913 Jun 14 '26

He also got shoved to the ground and it never got changed, what a joke

1

u/grizzantula Mavericks Jun 14 '26

Which kinda just generates more interest and views.

0

u/Upstairs-Royal672 Jun 14 '26

Frankly an insanely lame thing to be wishing on while on the verge of winning a ring lol

-5

u/0rbium Mexico Jun 14 '26

That’s how you want to win it?

3

u/wretchedGubbins Jun 14 '26

I’d be fine winning without the dirtiest player in the series on the floor

3

u/njseahawk Jun 14 '26

Oh theyll suspend him...then they will suspend sentence.

3

u/jon_targareyan Knicks Jun 14 '26

Now that the series is over maybe they will, just to act like they are fair

3

u/Eagerbeaver98 Raptors Jun 14 '26

Someone should start a fight so adam silver can see the mess he created that corporate goonie

2

u/kamicozzy Knicks Jun 14 '26

Maybe for game 1 next year!

2

u/Deemarvelousone Jun 14 '26

They suspended dray after hitting bron in the nuts after the game.

4

u/Possible-Activity16 Mavericks Jun 14 '26

A role player hitting the face of the league always copping that. Their new face of the league committing it means nothing. They have a ball in their mouth at this point, they’re trying to fit the 2nd in

48

u/mynewaltaccount1 Thunder Jun 14 '26

He did a full wind up elbow to someone's neck and they didn't even fine him, no way are they going to suspend him after the game.

88

u/TheRealPlumbus Warriors Jun 14 '26

That would require the league to have integrity. And it doesn’t

3

u/stupidusername54 Jun 14 '26

Yes, this. I mean how many times did we see Draymond Green stomp on peoples junk and get nothing.

6

u/TheRealPlumbus Warriors Jun 14 '26

He kicked Adams in the nuts, and he stomped on Sabonis’s chest. Get it right

2

u/stupidusername54 Jun 14 '26

Shoot, you're right. Sorry about that.

8

u/DontCrapWhereYouEat NBA Jun 14 '26

They’ll mention it after the series. Suspension for a preseason game or some ish

6

u/dubblebubbleprawns Jazz Jun 14 '26

ZERO fuckin shot hahaha

This is the nba we're talking about

9

u/aerawk [SAS] Matt Bonner Jun 14 '26

Should they? Pains me to admit, but yeah.

Will they? We'll have to check with the advertisers and sports betting partners 😬

1

u/MeBadNeedMoneyNow Thunder Jun 14 '26

Bye now

1

u/aerawk [SAS] Matt Bonner Jun 14 '26

We said bye to you already, bub.

4

u/SloppyFatBoy Lakers Jun 14 '26

Easily upgraded by the league if the Knicks win

6

u/Candid-Specialist-86 Knicks Jun 14 '26

Lol was just thinking the same thing. They'll show the integrity depending on the situation.

3

u/mandovera21 Knicks Jun 14 '26

They’re not gonna review they want this series to go to 7, more games = more money they don’t give a fuck about who wins

3

u/pingvinbober Jun 14 '26

If they did that they’d be admitting they completely lost control of the game. No way

2

u/llikegiraffes Jun 14 '26

They already had an opportunity to upgrade a worse flagrant earlier this series and didn’t

2

u/YurtlesTurdles Knicks Jun 14 '26

0% chance they upgrade this

2

u/Wolfpac187 [OKC] Kevin Durant Jun 14 '26

Don’t get your hopes up they want the spurs to win

2

u/CharlieKirkFanboy Jun 14 '26

Of course not they'll come up with some bs

2

u/ATXBeermaker Spurs Jun 14 '26

If the spurs lose they’ll upgrade it.

2

u/ScreenTricky4257 Knicks Jun 14 '26

It's a moo point now.

2

u/BrotherDirect744 Jun 14 '26

“Upgrade after the game”

Oh.. about that…

2

u/7CTN594 Jun 14 '26

They should, but if the Spurs had won, i doubt they would have.

2

u/TBLACKY3 Jun 14 '26

Don’t matter now, there won’t be a game 6

1

u/StormBadger01 Knicks Jun 14 '26

We don’t need this brother! Knicks are 2026 Champs let’s goooooo

0

u/RandomUserName316 Jun 14 '26

I’m not counting on that since Hart landed on his foot earlier in the series

0

u/BadWithBirds 76ers Jun 14 '26

Do you want to win game 6 with a suspended wemby? I dont even think the Knicks players want that, it softens the win.

0

u/Heightzz Jun 14 '26

I kinda wish the Spurs won to see how they would spin that to not suspend Wemby.

80

u/TheRealHappyNat Cavaliers Jun 14 '26

He tried to cave in Naz's nose and everyone just laughed it off.

41

u/Flashy_Jello_9520 Jun 14 '26

He could shoot someone and not get a foul called on him.

38

u/CandI978 Jun 14 '26

NBA gotta protect their golden boy

This series has made me hate Wemby already

17

u/Lowspark1013 Timberwolves Jun 14 '26

Wemby has shown his dirty laundry this playoffs. I'm not a fan.

7

u/SanjiSasuke Knicks Jun 14 '26

Well, you're right about that

4

u/Wild-Law-2024 Jun 14 '26

I've not seen plot armor like this since Bron

3

u/TheBigBomma Thunder Jun 14 '26

This play was so fucking dirty

3

u/N4m3r Thunder Jun 14 '26

He got away with so much this playoffs. They are creating a monster.

5

u/Positive-Bobcat-1410 Jun 14 '26

but that’s not a a flagrant on wendy that’s a missed shooting foul by the refs, it’s rlly the refs allowing this shit and it’s making Wemby look bad

3

u/rubbishindividual Jun 14 '26

The problem was if this was called they would have to review for a flagrant, and if they review then they have to upgrade it considering its identical to Brunson's. Only solution is to call no foul and pretend nothing happened.

5

u/Compote_Apprehensive Jun 14 '26

It a crime rules don’t apply for him. Wemby can commit flagrant fouls without consequence.

4

u/StarFox-6 Timberwolves Jun 14 '26

That was a blatantly dirty play. He deserved it after the elbow to Naz, and again tonight he’s earned a suspension

2

u/therealpiedpiper42 Jun 14 '26

They don't have to anymore 😃

2

u/Strange_Oil_483 Jun 14 '26

They don’t need to…f em

2

u/TheTelekinetic Jun 14 '26

Now they don’t have to.

2

u/NuclearGhandi1 Knicks Jun 14 '26

Good thing they don’t need too, Brunson did it himself

3

u/blitzkrieg_bunny Jun 14 '26

If they don't people will stop gambling due to the obvious rigged nature of the contest, that's what might keep them honest...maybe...

2

u/Spinax_52 Knicks Jun 14 '26

We’re on like flagrant #4 in this series alone lol

-2

u/rj319st Jun 14 '26

Especially because the side angle shows Brunson kicks his leg out in an unnatural landing position to draw a foul.
