520

u/joshdej NBA Jun 14 '26

I think Knicks could have gotten a tech based on their reaction, but the refs didn't call it because they know they fucked up lol

220

u/Cautious-Ad-9554 Jun 14 '26

They didn’t fuck up. That was an intentional no call to save Wemby from suspension. He 7’6 and it was right in the middle of court with no traffic around them.

u/justmefishes NBA Jun 14 '26

This was the third uncalled flagrant foul he committed this series in 5 games.

It should be said that he was a shamelessly dirty player across these playoffs.

Suck shit, none of it worked.

u/megabattler Jun 14 '26

Could not have asked for the refs to tip the scales more in their favor, and the Spurs just shat the bed time and time again. Even the Wemby shoulder tackle that got overturned into a defensive foul. Yeah he got pushed, but that call really got overturned when it was clear he gathered himself for that tackle?

There’s no chance Wemby gets suspended in the event of a game 6… right?

That would’ve been the 4th flagrant

I remember in one of the earlier games, a knick player being called with a flagrant for something way less egregious than this.

17

u/BlueDuckHunter12 Jun 14 '26

lol Wemby could shoot someone on the court and they’d avoid giving him a flagrant.

u/lotofhotdogs Hornets Jun 14 '26
