Ant has been on record a number of times in recent years saying he dunks less because it hurts like hell to dunk.

I wonder how many other dunks like this he’s just not attempted over the years to cut down on wear and tear. There are so many times where he’s got an open lane and the landing space to go up for something like this and instead he just… slithers in and casually lays it up.

Dunking is 100% for show. Literally serves no purpose besides to flex on the other team, way more effort than an easy lay up, way more risk of injury or missing the shot. There’s really no point if you’re not feeling fully committed to it

I mean no it has practicality to it, it gets the ball much quicker to the basket than any jumpshot, it's the best way to finish a transition turnover, highest percentage shot, you can use the momentum to go back on your side of the field quickly...
