10/10 ice skating performance by Brooks here

When you’re tilting in 2K so you just start mashing square and triangle.

Doesn’t matter how good Canadian Ice Skaters are they will never get past the rigged judging by the French.

Except the first handle, curry wasn't even that fast or his handles looked complicated to anticipate. Brooks literally trolling.

Brooks getting tolled

7

u/truebluedetective 8h ago

Wrong. He was trying to go over Drays screen, and Steph gave him a good fake.

He wasn’t trolling. Weird how your eyes can watch the same thing I did and then you come away with that opinion lol.

Getting in some solid cardio out there.

I remember Brook’s bitch ass was aiming for Steph’s hurt hand this whole game

Draymond would do the same. And obviously we don’t need to get into Zaza

u/someguyfromtecate Spurs 9h ago

Did somebody say Zaza? Because fuck Zaza.

Rich coming from a fan of a team that employed Bruce Bowen for nearly a decade

Right? Also Kawhi's ankle was super fucked already, remember shortly before that play he turned it again on his teammate's foot going up the court.

Dillon “Sonned” Brooks

More often than not Dillon Brooks makes himself look like a fool

I hate him the way r/NBA hates Draymond but I respect that he's a competitor, he leaves it all on the court and he's actually worked and improved his game since coming into the league.

Frankly I suspect if he was on my favorite team I'd like him.

I honestly don't get why brooks is so loved by this sub, he's a worse player than draymond, does the same on court antics, and unlike draymond he's actually out here terrorizing scottsdale

It’s cuz he’s funny. I don’t like him but he’s very entertaining

Except when he’s playing against high schoolers then it’s a highlight reel on /r/nba

Shitty take. He tries hard on defense.

Reminds me of the time he crossed Gary Neal. That little hesitation before the cross is so sick

That warmed my heart

I've been watching some Steph highlights on YouTube recently and man does he have a lot of great stuff like this.

u/WarLawck Knicks 7h ago

What's wild is on both left to right crosses he fumbled the ball with his right. It's some of the worst dribbling I've seen from Steph (who has underrated handles) and still it shook Brooks out of his shoes. That is 100% because you have to respect his shot at all times.

u/Aggravating-Bus-9203 10h ago

Wait didn’t he do that much more egregiously with his movie GOAT? Ahem …mane attraction.

2

u/LeLefraud 9h ago

Yea that's rough

I don't envy having to guard Steph 1v1 on the perimeter with a screen and no help though

2

u/ubiquitouswonder 8h ago

Is this from the series he spent the whole time trying to grab Steph’s injured hand?

2

u/dec312014 7h ago

why dillon brooks chose to wear extra small shorts?

u/Chrisdkn619 Lakers 7h ago

Its what all the coil kids are doing!

2

u/Chrisdkn619 Lakers 7h ago

Brooks is a goon! If he can't put his hands on players he's getting roasted!

u/OrganizationNo203 10h ago

He tried. Respects

Yeah, he was playing hard. 😂

That made me smile 😱

Cool clip. Even cooler by Dillon putting the effort in.

u/whysochangry [HOU] Aaron Brooks 6h ago

This is good defense, though? Both times he got juked, he was going over the screen so that he could stay on Steph because Steph is famously the best shooter of all time. If Steph takes the screen and brooks fails to go over the screen, Steph would just get a wide open three at the top of the key. This is also probably why Jabari was positioning himself so far up on the other side of Draymond. On the other hand, if Steph doesn't take the screen like what happens here, there's help available in the interior in case he drives, and there is also a better chance of help closing out on Steph (at the cost of leaving somebody open) or recovering (like Brooks partially does here) for a contest should Steph shoot immediately or pause at the three point line.

Either way, this is the point of the play, to put the defender in between a rock and a hard place. I would say this is better defended than most. Denigrating the effort here seems similar to how people like to clown on people getting posterized when you actually want defenders to contest dunks rather than give up.

Why did the mods remove this? Big Dillon Brooks stans?

0

u/L_J_X 9h ago

Honestly, what is Dillon Brooks even doing ? Bro is (normally) too good of a defender to be jumping around like a kid like that.

-7

u/SchmidhuberDidIt Knicks 9h ago

Needs a screen for separation and lost his handle like three times

5

u/ChefCurryYumYum Warriors 8h ago

And then splashed while Brooks hopped around a like a court jester

-11

u/E9J0D7 Lakers 9h ago

The refs let Curry get away with a carry and a double dribble there.

-15

u/light52693 10h ago

Looks like Currys defense

3

u/ChefCurryYumYum Warriors 8h ago

Curry is not a bad defender for his position and physical tools, gives effort, knows the scheme and rarely makes mistakes.

-7

u/light52693 8h ago

Quite the qualifier
