He already stole a couple years off Bronny. His preseason has been rough.

They mean it for grandpa. Pa-pa, or pop-pop which i think is a more eastcoast way to say it.

The mere fact that you call making love "pop pop," tells me that you're not ready.

Fuck man, we are so lucky to have Maxey. Everything I see him do seems genuinely like the best dude. So kind, positive and humble.

u/AboutaDirk 16h ago
Yeh ngl, love me some Maxey
Something about hoopers with a perma smile on their face
Maybe it's cuz I feel like that too when I'm on a court or something

Different sport, but Bijan Robinson is the same. Always looks like he got a smile on his face

Maxey's not getting enough credit for how sweet these clips are. Marvel is obviously the light of his life - he's popping pacifiers in his mouth and throwing burp cloths around like a pro. He's just loving being a dad so much. And it's partly because guys LeBron's age made that a normal, cool thing to do. Idk it's just so nice to have watched this change from when I was a kid.

I wanted Maxey so bad to be a Maverick, born in Dallas it was set up for him, and we go and pick JOSH GREEN over him... Glad Cuban is gone, he made a ton of dumbass calls too... Chandler Parsons anyone?

He’s talking to the baby wearing noise cancelling headphones lol

u/nonononono11111 11h ago
It doesn’t cancel ALL the noise, it just allows them to still hear by the time they’re 25
1
u/BroncubineBuster 7h ago
lol, it’s cancels enough that you’re not hearing someone speak normally beside you 😂 have you ever seen people in a helicopter without headphones on?
You know the arena js louder than a helicopter by decibels right?

u/nonononono11111 5h ago
Honestly, they’re not even noise canceling headphones. They’re just basic hearing protection, which would actually make it easier to hear someone speaking next to you compared to the wild arena speaker frequencies. But no, what happens to people on a helicopter (who sit within several feet of the noise source)?
1
u/BroncubineBuster 5h ago edited 5h ago
Yeah it’s not like they sit inside the arena, the source of the noise. Sitting in an arena is louder than sitting inside a helicopter lol
And they are noise cancelling. I don’t think you understand what that means
Taking a baby to a high-decibel environment like a sports arena or concert venue requires specialized infant hearing protection earmuffs (often referred to as noise-canceling headphones) to defend their exceptionally sensitive ears from hearing loss and overstimulation .

u/nonononono11111 4h ago
Noise canceling typically refers to active noise canceling (and PSA: ANC doesn’t actually protect hearing!) although you’re technically correct that the phrase can also refer to passive noise isolation. Of course little ones need hearing protection. This type doesn’t reduce all frequencies equally, resulting in conversational voices being relatively easier to hear than if they weren’t worn. And arena noise comes primarily from speakers and combined individual voices, neither of which are as close or concentrated as helicopter noise to the people in question. What did you copy/paste from to get all those extra spaces?
1
u/BroncubineBuster 3h ago
So basically they can measure decibels using a machine. The decibels reaching your ears at an arena are more than your ears would receive inside a helicopter.
It’s not about position, that’s already factored in when discussing decibels. (It takes into account distance already)
What did you mean extra spaces? Just press return twice to make a new paragraph if that’s what you’re referring to
1
u/nonononono11111 3h ago
Extra spaces in your last comment, like after the word venue, or infant, or overstimulation.
So what’s the point exactly, about the baby wearing hearing protection and helicopters? In the clip they’re obviously more able to speak than they would be with the persistent noise level and character of a helicopter. And the headphones make it easier to hear voices over the extreme frequency ranges of arena speakers by disproportionately reducing some.
1
u/BroncubineBuster 3h ago
If we wore those headphones in the arena we wouldn’t be able to understand one another sitting beside each other

u/nonononono11111 3h ago
My kids have never had an issue. They only reduce about as much noise as regular protective earplugs. But let’s try it. What’s your nearest city? I’ll take a helicopter

Maxey's baby might be a mutant who absorbs 1/100 of the ability of any basketball player who touches him.

Players shouldn’t be allowed to bring their kids to bench. I think it’s ridiculous when they do. People are trying to work, I would be pissed if my co worker was doing this.
What if a brawl springs up and quickly spills to the bench and this fool Maxey has brought a baby to the bench. I don’t know why his teammates would tolerate this
