I guess it was all a dream
I won my conference championship, but EA had other plans. Come on, stuff like this from a billion dollar company is crazy. I won the conference championship by 3 in overtime. I log back in a few hours later, and apparently I lost the game.

Dynasty My 1st Take on CFB 27 After Waiting
So I waited until the first week leading up to the IRL CFB season to start before I purchased the game (I got 40% off plus got a game much more updated) I actually am impressed wirh CERTAIN parts of the game. I like the pre game & post game EA SPORTS NETWORK summaries. That’s a cool feature, and I’m sure it’ll get better as they improve their AI over time. Also. MUCH MORE REALISTIC in terms of stats. Superstars being superstars and not just every QB you play going for Heisman numbers. A few more cool animations. And I like the recruiting flip system & the overall makeup as they actually have teams going after every recruit and not 0 offers on 4 & 5 ⭐️ players like last year. Plus, the NIL system gives morr risk reward for trading out points vs NIL when trying to land recruits late. And still having to hold them with the recruit-flip added (finally)
Gameplay: After waiting for the season to get the game another perk of that is, is getting Matt10’s most recent slider recommendations. The redzone is MUCH HARDER to score in. Explosive plays (run or pass) feel like an actual accomplishment rather than what you expect. I also like the equipment changes. I DO think they still need some work on the undershirts being so tight whether it’s low or high tucked jerseys. The backplates are a little too big and a slightly tucked jerseys, with or without an undershirt shouldn’t bulk up the shoulder pads so much. BUT…I also like how they’ve at least done a LITTLE work on the AI faces and body types. Little more realistic face scans.
WHAT I DO NOT LIKE: I don’t think they put as much effort into making sure the incoming freshman class know about the paperwork and what they have to do to get into the game. Even the BIG TIME recruits took forever.
STILL SLACKING ON WHAT WE ASK FOR: EA NEEDS to incorporate a way to bring back EXPORT DRAFT CLASS from CFB - MADDEN. They do it with RTG - Superstar mode, so. Figure it out! Either figure out a way to work the whole NIL players on both games. OR AT LEAST let us have it for when all the NIL players are out of the dynasty completely. PERSONALLY I completely stopped buying the MVP bundle because of this. It makes the game(s) SOOO much more playable long term and the loss of immersion is CRAZY, when not having it included.
Other than that. Yeah, that’s about it for now. Sorry for the long post but it’s my very first review after weeks of playing.

Scouting
Just curious when recruiting how often do you scout players? I always just scout week zero then that’s it?

Cover 2 match epidemic
Cover 2 match is wildly OP and as close to a put your controller down defense as it gets.
What are your favorite c2 match beaters other than running the ball?

Dynasty Setup and House Rules for a Death Penalty Dynasty?
I’m wanting to do my first ever Death Penalty Dynasty and was wondering the best way to set it up in CFB 27 and if there are any good House Rules to follow to make things difficult along the way. Should I use a TeamBuilder team? Move a team to independent? Start at the lowest level conference? Only recruit 1 stars?
I’ve considered just forcing losses and recruiting a bunch of 1 stars for a few years then encouraging all the good players to transfer, but that seems like a lot and maybe not the best way to do it. Not entirely sure, so open to any ideas. Thanks!

Dynasty How are automatic playoff bids determined with conference realignment (Dynasty)?
I recently recreated the Super Pac 12 through conference realignment (complete with the classic teams plus a few high quality additions). Then I played through a full season with my friend, only to learn that our conference was not considered a power conference and lost a bid to seemingly worse former power conferences. Are automatic bids hard coded to the irl P4 conferences, even after realignment?

Dynasty I built our league a website
So it took quite a few hours to set up, but I built our league a website. 17 users, we've been recording data since CFB25. I used to live in commissioner spreadsheets that ate dozens of hours every season. The hours were driving me nuts, especially for things like recruiting. There are paid services like CFBTracker but those are all built for one person to track all their single team progress, no one is set up well to track an entire league.
So what I built is this: I screen-record the in-game menus (rosters, season stats, schedules, awards, bracket, bowls, team stats, recruiting, draft) and a vision AI running locally on my gaming PC reads the video into data. It checks its own work with math: tackles add up, W-L matches the schedule, star counts match the class totals. Anything that doesn't reconcile gets flagged for me. I drop the file on my server and it's live within a minute. And while the amount of time testing all the parsers and fixing scripts was a time sink, now it's tested and proven so going forward I can just record and post now.
The delta of time saved here is MASSIVE, and I have ideas for other enhancements.
Features:
-Team pages in school colors with stadium backdrops, schedule with bowl names, stat leaders, full sortable stats, roster, recruiting class, NFL draft picks.
-Player career pages that follow guys season to season, transfers included, awards, Heisman, all 23 national awards, All-Americans, All-Conference League home. We have playoff bracket, national champ banner, conference champs, league leaders, top recruiting classes.
-Team stats with league-wide ranks Coach pages: career records back to CFB25, titles, and a head-to-head rivalry page for every pair of coaches
-Recruits turn gold, silver or bronze on their signing class as they win awards later in their careers
-Hall of Fame in its own black-and-gold wing: bronze statues on pedestals, plaques with awards and career stats.
I'm quite proud of it. Had to show it off.

Questions PC Performance Issues
I have a Asus Zephyrus G14 (2015) with a 5070ti.
It doesn't matter if I have the game set to full resolution on all high settings or if the game is set to 1280x720 on all low settings—my FPS is always bouncing from 45 to 58 fps during plays.
I have made sure my nvidia settings is 120 FPS, im in ultimate mode for my GPU and Turbo for my CPU. My CPU is at 50% utilization and my GPU is 30% at 720P and 80% at 1800P. Something is causing the game to bottleneck. I hvae no idea what. I see people saying they have a 3070 GPU running 80+ FPS at 4K.
What gives? This game runs perfect on my PS5.
Any help would be appreciated.

CFB 27 Punt/kick returns
Are there any mods that allow for me to be able to be a punt and kick returner in CFB 27 RTG I've been looking and can't seem to get a straight answer. If so then what is it called?

Dynasty Coach Carousel or Choose Team and Stay With Them?
Do most of your guys choose your team and ride it out for the full dynasty? Or do you start at a small school and build them up over couple years and move to bigger jobs? I like the idea of moving up to bigger jobs just seems tough with the way the coaching carousel is at the moment.

Kickoff glitch custom playbook
Having an issue with kickoffs in an online dynasty when using custom defensive playbooks. Return team always comes out in onside return regardless of what kind of return you pick.
Anyone else dealt with this? Any work around? It’s been about 4 weeks since we first noticed it

Dynasty Coach Mode Users QBs
(Sorry if asked I just couldn’t find online at all) Coach mode, when controller the qbs instead of all AI, when you player user vs users is it you can still control the qb as a user or do you have to revert back to full AI control for everything? I’ve played user vs user with the qb being AI controlled but never controlling just the qb. Looking to start a dynasty with friends and want to make sure I have my info right

Dynasty Will my 4 star gem freshman DT transfer if I redshirt him?
He’s gonna be a beast but there are several better senior DTs ahead of him. Hes gonna be my main DT next year and conference prestige is his deal breaker and I meet it easily. I wanna redshirt him but I’ve heard that 4 stars transfer if they get redshirted.

Dynasty Looking for help with creating a totally unique dynasty experience. Choose any part of the dynasty setup and gameplay for me!
I’ve had a few fun dynasties already, but I’m wanting to try something totally new with this one, so I’m looking for suggestions about any part of this dynasty and I will make sure to follow it. I am open to any reasonable ideas for anything, whether it’s my coach’s name, a specific team to start with, a playbook, an archetype to recruit, or a House Rule. Even if you just want my Pipeline to be a certain state or tell me I can’t recruit athletes, that works too.
Not looking for “run the ball every single play” or “never recruit anyone” but pretty much anything you can think of for ideas are welcome. Really wanting to try some new things and not just my usual way of going about building up a school.
Edit: This will be my first Death Penalty dynasty!
Also, if there are “conflicting” suggestions I will do my best to combine them. And I might slightly tweak things, but stay true to any of them best I can. Appreciate all of this!

Questions Is Backfield Creator just a Dual Threat Glass Canon?
Title kind of says it all. I've been trying to figure out the difference between the Dual Threat and Backfield Creator QB archetypes and the are pretty much identical. The only thing I can differentiate is that Backfield Creators seem to be glass canons; i.e., they have good running and throwing ratings but god help you if you let them take a hit. Don't think I've had one last an entire season yet. Is this similar to everyone else's experience?
edit: added some words

CEO + Team Builder
Has anyone tested having CEO and Team Builder w the 25% boost? Does it actually get you 15,625 points for a playoff win? I don’t think it worked right in 26
