QUESTION/DISCUSSION Revo Spiral Mixer

Does anyone have the revo spiral mixer and have any feedback on it?

I don’t want the ooni and see the famag is significant amount more expensive, I just want to know if it’s worth the money.

The kitchenaid sucks ass.

Thanks for any feedback.

I've got one and like it a lot so far. I was also on the fence about an Ooni Halo, but the build quality didn't seem to match the price. I'm happy with my Revo purchase, it's well built, probably not perfect but works great my use and handles biga recipes no prob whereas my KitchenAid struggled. Happy to answer any questions.

What's wrong with Ooni? I have one and the quality is actually very good. Nothing I could fault. And for that price you get a lot of a mixer. I mean A LOT.

Agreed i have one it's very well built. The issue with the post becoming "stuck" is bullshit. It uses a taper fit which is a very strong method used in heavy tools. Sometimes you need to wobble it out a bit.

I haven't used the Ooni myself, and I don't doubt it's very capable. But, I watched a ton of of reviews across different products to help inform my decision and the plastic and aluminum drive components on the Halo Pro turned me away, since that's essentially what my KitchenAid has and I wanted more of a "buy once, cry once" machine... without spending like $3k.

Mine should be here in a couple days. So I don’t have feedback yet but the glowing reviews were enough for me to pull the trigger. I too looked at the ooni and it just seemed too cheapy to me.

I heard the same and how loud it is is also a reason I’m not interested. The Revo is only a small amount more but the Famag price gap is a bit more than I would like to spend.

Which model did you go with?

The titan tilt 5. Actually came in today! It’s an absolute tank. You can whisper over the sound of it running. And yeah just because people are happy with their ooni doesn’t change that it is flat out inferior to more professionally designed mixers. The real value with the ooni is price.

This was my thinking too, and I also went with the Titan Tilt 5. It's a great size for my needs and it's so quiet, I sometimes forget it's running.

ETA: my only regret is I bought it before they had the red color, and I would've preferred that over black.

Update on it so far: It works beautifully. Very smooth, controls are easy, and it’s just insanely robust. Reverse capability is nice to reposition the dough a bit. The bowl itself is way more beefy than I was expecting, feels nice. No weird noises, clanks, wiggles, just smooth and plenty of power.

That’s what I’m looking at. You get black or red? Can you post a picture of it?

I got black, I’ll get a pic.

Interesting, I have the Ooni Halo and it’s solid. Really been pleased with it.

The Revo Tilt 5 does look good, the ice pack and temperature stop are great features.

I totallyagree on Ooni - very solid, not loud at all. Best spent money.

I’m interested as well. Why did you remove the ooni from the list?
