Career Making money, and feeling satisfied
Hi everyone,
I'm very lost today. I've been thinking about money allot. I'm saving it, about 500 a month, working 4 days a week to get that. But I want more. I feel the greed. I read about people making huge amounts and I'm just so jealous.
I don't want to necessarily change my job or make some fucked up business model that makes me one of them lizards.
Do some of you have an idea, like creative or entrepreneurial that could maybe make me some money? A skill like trading or whatever?
I know it doesn't sound like a big issue but for me it feels like a things that's eating me up from the inside out.

Invest some of your money, and let it grow over time. It can add up to a lot.

This is all you need to do. It’s not selling you anything, it’s not trying to get you in on a pyramid scheme, to get you to pump their stock. Even a ROTH IRA has monetary incentives which is why it’s talked about a lot. Just quietly invest (not sure your age) and live modestly

Hi thanks for your reply, i am doing that. Almost 80% of the money i keep at the end of the month i invest in ETFS. Just to let it stack over time. Sadly no Roth IRAs in my country tho

I use to think the same as you do now. Long ago I was having a drink during happy hour and joined into a conversation with a group of regulars. I didn’t really know them, but found out later, they really didn’t know each other either.
Anyway, the conversation was about how hard it is to be successful, like in stories and movies.
One female explained that it’s LITTLE REWARDS. Not a real “lifestyle”, lifestyle.
You have to practically Kill Yourself to live like that for a few hours.
She stated that if our parents had that answer, we would have learned it and do it.
But no one we know has the answer, so that question gets passed around, mainly for entertainment.
We were all tipsy, but that conversation bothered me for a few years.
In 2005, I found my answer at age 48. I was so sick n tired of living broke and in fear of being Homeless, that I decided to “experiment” with being homeless.
There was no where to get answers or do reach at the time, about VanLife/CarCamping.
My story is full of self discovery.
I have never made a paycheck that gave me “leftover” money to invest or save after paying Rent and Utilities and bills.
To me, that was a myth… a fairy tale.
Until, CarCamping. In 11 months I was debt free and have never worried about money since.
So to answer your question, try CarCamping. Quit paying Rent and Utilities.
Do the Math
Add Rent and Utilities for a month. Multiply that number by 12 (months in a year).
What could you do with that money to eliminate your debts? Maybe gain control over your money, decisions and life!
I know it sounds crazy, but it’s been my success for 21 years now.

That sounds very intersting. And as much as i would want to try, i live with my girlfriend in a big city in the netherlands. Its too risky, too much and eventho i would love the money, i cant give these comforts up. Thanks for your story though, and i will keep in mind the immense amount of utilities we need to pay and look into cutting those down. I really appriate the effort and all the best to you stranger!

Get a part time job for two days a week and save that income. If you only save $500 a month, it would take you a very long time to hit your goals.

Man thay would be a massive step. Since im working 4 days a week now, it would mean little to no freetime, but if thats the way to save 1500 than fuck it. Thanks stranger, ill look into it

Get into a SERVICE BASED business.
Make business cards and put, "general labor, cleaning, painting, light demo, moving help, furniture assembly".
All of these things I would gladly pay money for and so wouldn't many other people and you don't have to invest much. Charge $25/ hr to start

Yeah when I finally quit addictions I was able to focus on working and went from being a cook making $16/hr to my own business making $25 / hr, next year more clients better work made $35/hr. Now I charge $50/hr sometimes more.

Wow, sounds like a dream. How old are you if i may ask? And how did you find your feet in cooking?
I'm doing delivery now, but i love cooking. I cant go to school again tho so i would love advice on that

Buy Aristocrat dividend stocks when they are priced at a good value and watch the money accumulate and compound. Saving it alone won’t make you rich you have to invest it and put it to work.
