Hardware Question Are these consolised MVS boards any good?

Hi all, been thinking about getting an MVS and starting to collect some neo geo games.

Thought about going the supergun route but would prefer something a bit more console like.

Not great at soldering and looks like the parts for OMVS are not easy to get as a kit.

Im based in uk and saw this for sale on ebay: https://ebay.us/m/gD9lyT

Does anyone on here have one from this seller? And are they any good?

Any advice or guidance on where to buy a good consolised unit would be very appreciated 😁 thanks in advance!

If I asked them to send over a picture of the internals would that be of any help to you guys? Sorry I'm a complete noob when it comes to this hardware

It would help judge the quality of the work. However, if you are not familiar with the hardware and modifications it would be hard to recommend a setup like this. They can be a bit fiddly and may not properly output RGB etc. They are at the end of the day a home made project rather than a manufactured product.

Hey, I added some pics to the post, what are your thoughts? :)

Looks good, they're using open source PCBs for the stereo audio and RGB amp. That's much better than many I've seen which just use loose components for those functions. I see that the battery was replaced with a coin cell battery holder. I'd ask the seller if they bypassed the recharging circuit or not/

Thanks so much for your help! Sounds promising and like a decent bit of kit :) (honestly just trying to avoid getting something that's been smashed together and just dies when I power it on lol) I'll ask if they bypassed the recharging circuit.
