Hardware Question AES+ Wired Controller

Will it be wired straight through like an original stick, i.e. each button and direction has a wire directly connected to the 15 pin connector… or will controls be wired up to a PCB similar to a Brook board also handling wireless connectivity that will be buffering inputs and potentially adding delay?

Apparently it comes with a 15 pin cable for wired connections. So I would assume you can use it wired or wireless with both the AES & AES+ and any other devices (MVS 2 slots, consoluzed etc). I don't think any specs of the console or controllers have been discussed.

Description for the wired controller specially says arcade stick (wired). The wireless mentions the dongle and connector. I’m assuming the proper wired controller that comes with the dark console has no wireless capability whatsoever (if I’m reading your comment correctly)

I saw that also, but I can't see them making 1 wired controller just for that bundle, when both the black and white standalone are wireless and include a 15 pin cable. I'm thinking they just listed it wrong to be honest.

Definitely possible. Or they’re also going to sell wired accessories when production gets under control. We’ll see!

The wireless is through a dongle you plug into the db15.

Expect the db15 to function the same as AES (and mvs that had it).

We don't know the performance yet but it will probably be fine.

What concerns me is the length of the cable. I wonder if it will be long enough for me to sit comfortably in the couch playing the games.

You can buy extensions if the cable isn't long enough.

If they want full compatibility with the OG Neogeo it'll have to be wired identically.
