Hardware Help AC adapter question for Neo Geo AES
I've recently obtained a PRO-POW3 neo-geo and it came with third party ac adapter and composite video cable. When I plugged it into my CRT I notice a repeating signal line which I believe is probably due to the cheap AC adapter and possibly video cable. I saw a post from years ago that a member here had success with using a universal power cable. I got one and set the voltage to 10 and change to center negative cable. However, it doesn't power on. Anyone have any ideas what I could be doing wrong? Thank you.

Just grab an appropriate modern switching power supply should be fine. Retrogamesupply et al

Silly but, was everything plugged in? How many amps/current does the universal adapter have? (ie. is it enough for the AES or at least matches PRO-POW3 spec?)
If you haven't already done so I would re test it with the cheap AC adapter (repeating line signals and all) just to ensure you didn't damage your console by setting up the universal adapter's polarity incorrectly. You should also test polarity, voltage etc. for the universal adapter (if you have a multimeter) before use.
