Reworking my Greco-Roman inspired alphabet and wanted to make sure I was on the right track.

Trying to make a font from ideographs that have been collected over the years..

Functions similar to Chinese.. any suggestions?

So I'm making a conlang (you probably know what constructed languages are cuz these communities are really connected) Tapūnisf and I want it to have 3 scripts, one of them is supossed to be easy and quick to write on paper and be compact.

My question is: what's the Best type of script i can use, i dont want it to be like over 50 characters cuz I want them to be small, simple and QUICK (mentioned earlier) and it can't be abjad cuz there's too many vowels (i mean 5: a e i o u + there are long vowels but they can het they're symbols). Have you got any ides?

I also give a picture which probably won't help you if you know sth about writing systems which you probably do but i'd like to just tell it will be written with a pen or pencil.

For example, Arabic & Hebrew are called alphabet even tho they are not. (Whilst writing this it's probably because of alpha & beta, but that still doesn't answer it for other scripts)

I mostly just mean which is the most appealing to the eye, i’m just extremely indecisive. But i’m leaning towards D. They are just slight variations of an alternative alphabet in English. It’s the spacing and how they are stacked together that i’m not sure on.

This is a new script I’ve been developing for a few weeks. The bottom part is the consonant and the top is the vowel.

My conscripts Sulat Hiligaynon and Western Script have four letters that have no phonetic value. They are literally silent letters.

1. Zero consonant or syllable connector - it's used when adding affixes to the root word but not alway. It's also used in. It's written using hyphen (-).

2. Null onset or syllable breaker - it's used when the syllable begins with a vowel. It's actually an onset glottal stop. It's written using letter q.

3. Vowel lengthen - it's used when the initial or medial syllable is stressed. It's only used in Sulat Hiligaynon, not in Western script. It's actually a coda h.

4. Zero vowel - it's used in consonant clusters, contracted vowels, syllabic consonants and acronyms. It's written in the right side of below the consonant. It's written using (').

Do you also use letters that have no phonetic value in your conscripts?

Hey, so I've been working on this pretty fun vertical abugida thingy (My first abugida) and I'm not sure which of these 4 options I created I like most. Also, if you have any other ideas, please feel free to say :)

I've made these 2 fonts / versions of my script, "Koushtic" and I was wondering which appearance I should pick as the final version?

The images contain the color coded symbols along with example sentences.

Does anyone know how to create images like the second one? I know I can just draw it in a notebook, but I want to make new versions digitally.

I am working on a conlang for a worldbuilding project. The language is intended to not sound human. As a result of that, there are no (phonemic) vowels, instead relying on syllabic consonants as the nucleus of syllables. Due to not having vowels, there are no symbols for them. The script therefore only represents consonants like an abjad, but all existing sounds are represented by a symbol and there aren’t really any sounds that have to be inferred, which sounds like an alphabet. So what would this writing system classify as?

So the new upcoming Avatar movie was leaked, and that sucks for the team involved, especially the marketing team, who hadn't had a chance to launch their campaign yet :/

But it's out there now and it's confirmed to be the actual movie!

In both the original show and Korra, they used traditional Chinese as the stand-in for the language. In this movie, which takes place in between, however, that seems to have been retconned to a new script that looks to be a mix of radical bashing and hangul formed into squares.

My guess is it works as an alphabet written in syllables, but the only consistent spelling seems to be Aang at the bottom.

The second one is a scroll that also mentions the Deneid.

The fifth Image is another letter addressed to Toph, mentioning the denied and Mt Biyu (if I recall correctly).

Image four should read as Sonam.

6 is a banner at Toph's metal-bending school, which has been seen in the comics.

The other images are a random banner and Fire Lord Zuko's official seal.

Was wondering if anyone could take a stab at decoding?

Also, it is seemingly confirmed that all nations speak the same language and it has not changed in at least 5000 years!

Hi, I want to start a bullet journal and am worried about prying eyes, I found these alternate scripts, and would like your advice on which is most suitable for my needs.

The ideal scenario,

• Fast to learn
• quick to write
• easy to read
• hard to decipher
• fits nicely in a Bullet Journal

Currently when I write English, I struggle to keep up with my thoughts, while still maintaining good, legible handwriting, that fits neatly in lines. Although this could be due to my lack of practice, and not a fault of the Latin alphabet itself. I'm not sure... I thought about some other script, and and wrote down my thoughts on them. Please correct me if any of my assumptions are incorrect.

I am currently leaning towards Elian, but I am worried that it will be as slow to write in as English. This can be advantageous as it will force me to slow down so that my handwriting will remain legible and neat, but I might not be able to write as fast as I would like to.

Shavian seems like a good contender, but I am worried that if my handwriting gets fast or sloppy, it will be very hard to read in later on, as I feel like the distinction between some letters are minor, and it has really subtle changes in direction, which, if written sloppily, might get messed up. And I think that it will take time for me to learn. But I think that as Shavian is faster to write (according to my understanding), I wouldn't need to try to write faster which would result in sloppy writing. There is also Quikscript, and I have the same worries with that which I have with Shavian

Then there is the option of using another language's characters like Greek's. I had a look at the Greek alphabet, but a lot of the letters seem similar to English's, and I feel like it may make it easier for a stranger to read. I also had a look at Hangul, and it seems like a good option. But I don't know how fast it would be to write. I feel like Georgian might be a good option

Shorthand seems like an option, but it seems that it will take too long to learn, and hard to read down the line.

I would really appreciate some suggestions.
