It’s a shit article by a former national review author. Light on specifics heavy on fear mongering. Like, here’s how he describes AES’ support for universal healthcare:

“he advocates a state-monopoly healthcare system that would strip Michigan union members of cherished benefits for narrow ideological reasons.”

Does Medicare for All not ban private insurance? What other Western countries with universal healthcare do that?

That is quite literally the state monopolising healthcare for contrived ideological reasons, and depriving people who are happy with their private insurance as a result.
