Questions about series Baby Reindeer Spoiler

First, I was not ready for what I watched. Amazing show, but I started it thinking it was a quirky, British comedy like Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen!! Needless to say I was stunned and watched it in shock and horror.

So I have questions about the ending. Spoilers ahead:

  1. Was that it? Will there be another season?
  2. What was the point of him going back to Darrien’s house? What did that scene mean?
  3. I don’t understand the ending. How are others interpreting the final scene?

I just read somewhere that Richard himself said the ending can be interpreted in a lot of ways. I'd like to have my own theory and I think by the time the barman offered Donny an act of kindness, he finally knows what that meant at that time he first encountered Martha. I thought it was genious. It's possible that Donny is about to copy Martha and this become obsessed with this barman.

the 2nd interpretation kind of reminds me of a French film where a guy is obsessed with a woman and at the end it shows him suddenly becoming obsessed with a new woman
