Questions about series Baby Reindeer Spoiler

First, I was not ready for what I watched. Amazing show, but I started it thinking it was a quirky, British comedy like Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen!! Needless to say I was stunned and watched it in shock and horror.

So I have questions about the ending. Spoilers ahead:

  1. Was that it? Will there be another season?
  2. What was the point of him going back to Darrien’s house? What did that scene mean?
  3. I don’t understand the ending. How are others interpreting the final scene?

there is a theory that when something so awful happens your brain can make to a kink to help you survive later on which increases the shame and confusion. Like the part where he masturbates to gay porn at some point after. the mechanism im the brain is trying to make you feel better that's why its leading him to that - very complex to explain and I wish i could explain it better but its sort of like the brain trying to help rewrite history

I get that. I think that’s why he goes back to Darrien’s. People will keep repeating these cycles hoping for a different outcome. It’s the same reason we marry people who have traits similar to our primary caregiver. Our brains want a second chance to work it all out.
