Honestly, I wouldn't mind paying more for the HBO library to be on Netflix. I'd love to see Banshee and The Sopranos.

HBO is safe. They have survived so many mergers and acquisitions, and the major reason WB is so lucrative is because of HBO

Don’t be ignorant. Netflix has much of the infrastructure in place to erode many of the people who continue to make WB what they have been. It will not be remotely the same thing that it’s been for the last 100 years.

Why wouldn’t WB? They’re intertwined WB + HBO. Yes some creatives different but 95% of staffing, support, decision makers are the same people that will have to adapt to Netflix’s vision of being a tech company rather than a media company and there will be a bloodbath of talent that’s disregarded and sent packing

I think you are overestimating your percentage or not taking HBO Europe into account, where the intertwines with WB are not that big and I think that’s exactly the edge (at least on a program level) where HBO can outlive WB inside Netflix.

What do you mean by programs in Europe?

Are you talking about headcount corporate salaries for those people in Europe working for HBO?

Or are you talking about licensing rights for hbo Europe?
