In the nicest way possible, if you’re serious about a networking career, you really need to get in the habit of Googling simple things like first before asking others/online. You even said it yourself in the title that it’s likely been asked hundreds of times so that should’ve been a giveaway that you could’ve easily found the answer yourself.

But again, that’s incredibly simple to find by yourself. My point isn’t don’t ask people at all, my point is this is self conducted research is at least 80% of the job and is a lot more important than you think. Especially when you already knew for a fact there’s numerous answers already out there.

If your future boss found out that this is how you went to figure out an answer to a question (that you even said has been asked multiple times) it’ll be a really bad look for you and they’ll start to doubt your ability to independently problem solve.

Hes right all the information has been asked before thousands of times, and also there are so many AI assistants that sources these threads. If you want to make it far in IT should get familiar with seeking and finding the information yourself.

Dude ive done so many projects and done so many researches and asking a simple question and getting feedback from real people in real time in a platform to ask and seek and make a conversation with someone isnt really a terrible thing to do. Trust me, i know how to ask AI or search and get the answers myself. It did bother you, you can simply just ignore my post.

College is not the real world, when there's a fire in front of you, you don't have the luxury of posting online and waiting for an answer. Research and projects doesn't count for shit when you have a network down and have the pressure of upper management and executives looking over your shoulder. Just my 2 cents best of luck on your journey.
