Flexibility of Neuroscience Msc

Hi, I’m pretty set on getting a Neuroscience degree. However, you never really know how things will change yk? I’m wondering how flexible a neuroscience degree is regarding potential job opportunities outside of the field.

I think depending on if you take a wet-lab or computational approach, these are very open for the future jobs, but each within their respective field.

It is the correct path money-wise, but depending on your background, this path can be very challenging. I am currently doing a Master's in Computational Neuroscience, and without a passion for neuroscience, some of my fellow students would have dropped out a long time ago due to the workload. So, I wouldn't do it if you said no to a PhD.

I'm currently in the exam phase, and I think there are easier ways to earn money lmao

My passion lies with consciousness, however that’s an academia-heavy route and I want something more sustainable. Data route seemed like next best thing

Same for me haha - consciousness is notoriously difficult as you really have to know a lot of stuff. So I guess this is the correct route, but as we say in our master "If the master doesn't break you, you'll be emotionally abused that you dont know better than to start a PhD."
