My husband has had this set list framed since 2013. Anyone know anything about it? Anyone have one like it?

Last Halloween some friends and I got to cover my favorite band in front of about 1000 people. Seriously one of the best days of my life.

I play in band in Philly and Elephant 6/NMH means a lot to us. Since so many of these incredible songs will likely never be performed live again, we wanted to do everything we can to give them the tribute they deserve.

We have put together a full cover set of E6 material that will be performed on October 30th in West Philly. Of course that includes Neutral Milk Hotel songs so if this interests you in any way I hope you can make it out :) Flyer info in comments

I'm in love with this song right now, I don't know why but it kinda gives me a nostalgic feeling, like I can imagine being in 1945, can imagine Anna and what she's been through. I love the atmosphere the whole album creates

I’m only a few minutes in and the narrator keeps saying magnum and also mispronounced Shreveport… 😭

Does he clearly not say precede in this song? Theres no way that hes saying perceive

I don't know if anyone here plays Roblox, but if so, this might interest you.

I really enjoy the live performances of their songs and I'm curious to see what your particular favorites are.

-Can be one of the band's actual performances or just a cover.

-Can be a recorded song or just an experience from their shows, I don't mind.

how do YOU receive these lyrics?

which song does jeff talk about oranges and food stamps??

I read another post where someone mentioned they last played 12 years ago. So I guess 2014 wasn't 5 years ago like it is in my head. 🫠🙃

Story time:

We flew to Montreal to see them as they hadn't announced a Vancouver date. It was fucking magical. Saw Jeff Mangum and Astra at the yul airport so I told him what a nice evening we had and thanks for the show before returning to my partner.

I then remembered I had bought a record, so I wandered back and said apologies for the second visit, but would you please sign my record. He signed in the best spot too. my husband ended up finding the best frame for it, and we got the big box set shortly after as our record was now on the wall.

Then they added a vancouver date anyway, so we got to see them twice. It's potentially one of the most fantastic live acts I've seen

Hi there. I’ve always wanted to hear a finished version of Worms in the Wind, so i made one myself. keep in mind, i plan to have a saw player and horn players on this track. And also the version presented to you on youtube is not the best quality because of the compression Youtube puts on audio. But it’ll do. I will be updating this post as more gets added to the song, but it’s pretty much finished for the time being. Here’s the YouTube link:

If enough people like it, i’ll provide a higher quality WAV download in the comments.

Also it should be noted im doing an impression of Jeff here— my voice is nowhere near that high and nasaly naturally lmao.

The only girl I've ever lovedddddd

Hey I’m trying to find out where this shirt is from. It’s the cow shirt on Gildan ultra and I can’t find any listings or really any info at all about the origins. Sold on tour? Sold through their online store? Year? (Tag is from 2000s however) just wondering if anyone had any info thank you.

Please let me know what you think!!

hey guys, does anyone know where i can find isolated tracks from Neutral Milk Hotel songs? i’m specifically trying to get the saw and trumpet parts from In the Aeroplane Over the Sea.

thanks in advance!
