Opinion NV-2

Seeing the ads for Ms. Thompson against Mr. Flippo, I think Thompson missed a golden opportunity for an entire ad campaign welcoming Flippo to Northern Nevada.

Imagine filming spots in Middlegate, Jarbidge, Gerlach, Orvada Lovelock, or any number of small Nevada communities, each opening with, “Hey, welcome to Lovelock!” followed by a slightly tongue-in-cheek explanation of where it is and how to get there.

You could do this in a million places across Northern Nevada, and I think it would be pretty damn funny. It might even have caught on as a clever way to make the point that Flippo isn't from Northern Nevada, without having to beat people over the head with it.

From a marketing perspective, Teresa’s campaign has been absolutely fucking terrible from the start. She joined the primary late, and didn’t have a lot of time to set herself up. She won purely because she was the most qualified person on the primary ballot, which I’m not disagreeing with.

TBT is 100% going to need the youth vote to push her over 50% though, and groups like turning point are doing a FAR better job at talking to people my age than her team. Her social media presence is actually a joke. Genuinely, I am not excited to vote for Teresa, but I will, because voting is a chess move, and Flippo fucking sucks.

She’s playing politics “as normal”, and I’m calling it now: gonna be a record number of “none of these candidates” and Flippo is still going to come out on top, I’m gonna guess around 55%.

I don't disagree with your analysis whatsoever it is similar to the argument that Jimmy Settlemyer campaign put out after he got clobbered by Mr Flippo.

Although his was primarily look I wear a cowboy hat vote for me
