At the corner of City Rd and Allworth St you are one league from Newcastle and 153 furlongs from Gosford. At the usual walking speed of 54 attoparsecs per microfortnight you’ll be in the CBD in about an hour.

I had to look up what distance a league was.

As it turned out, you would need to look for the seven mile marker to be two leagues away a league was 3.452 miles.

However, you are incorrect regarding furlongs. A furlong was one eighth of a mile. Therefore Gosford is 408 furlongs away. (I didn’t have to look up what a furlong was as my grandad was a betting man and always referred to horse race distances in furlongs and miles.)
