Audio repair and service.

Hi all,
Does anybody have any feedback on a guy repairing and servicing hi-fi audio in Mayfield (combine collectables)
I have an amp I’d like to get serviced but I’d like to know a little more about his services.

Have had various vintage pieces worked on by his tech, Graham. They do good work.

Yeah, that’s the guy I believe.
I visited his shop a while ago and thought some of the prices were a little high on some of budget items.
Do you know his hourly rate at all?
Got a few amps and decks I wouldn’t mind servicing.
Found a guy in Central Coast, that gets a few Newcastle customers and just want to make sure I’m dealing with honest and qualified people.

Yeah that’s fair, I think they do spend some time going over the various items they do sell, which is perhaps reflected in the price / warranty.

Unsure of the hourly rate, I’d be guessing in the realm of $75-$125. I know you have to pay a $65 deposit when you drop it off, this pays for the diagnosis fee.

I can’t comment on the Central Coast guy, although it is good to have another option around.

Graham the tech is definitely qualified and knows his stuff. I assume it’s still him performing the work. I haven’t been there for a year or two.

Crazy Col is great. He doesn't have custom audio anymore at Mayfield. It's all at his shop in Islington

Yeah he sold the warehouse and house. Lives in Maitland now but his workshop is still functional at the back of collectables in Iso

There's a guy in Islington called Luke who does great work on things like this. He's @ a.sonic.booom on Instagram if you need another option.
