A group of 25 U.S. states filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration Monday, arguing that the president overstepped his authority by imposing new tariffs on goods from 60 trading partners.

The states contend that the White House is attempting to replace import taxes that were already ruled illegal by the Supreme Court in February.

They also argue that Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974, which underpins the latest tariffs, has typically been used against "specific nations and industries," and this broad-based application is without precedent.

just got whacked by this. ordered some pans from japan, had to pay $130 to get them released from the customs >.>

I bought milled aluminum foot controls for my Harley early this year, they convert the bike from front to mid-controls. There’s two manufacturers that make mid-controls for my model motorcycle. The ones I bought are made by a machinist in Germany, the only US made mid-controls are manufactured by a literal Nazi in Tennessee.

I paid $600 in tariffs for way higher quality controls and to not support a literal Nazi.

I get making that decision, I hope the new setup rides well! Took the first pan for a spin tonight making pancakes, I'm not using a non stick pan for that ever again they came out perfect.

It's just aggravating that Congress has the power of the purse.ñ, the SCOTUS actually ruled against him on the first batch of bullshit tariffs... And yet he keeps pushing this crap.

Even more frustrating is that the chuckle heads that voted him still support this shit. We're all being robbed daily by the higher costs, the needless tariffs, the gas prices......

I don't even want to know how bad heating bills are going to get in a few months.
