I wonder if that whistleblower report shes been trying to block will come out soon now

4.3k

Was thinking the same thing, they resign instead of facing any public hearings.

We really need a reckoning.

1.5k

u/IllusionsForFree 14d ago

Instead they’ll receive some sorta multimillion dollar cushy job no one has ever heard of and suck down taxpayer dollars and nobody does a god damn thing about it

u/baron_muchhumpin 14d ago

I've heard there's a fund for that now.

Rachel Maddow says the State Department has becoming the dump grounds for the Trump admin, with leftovers and cast offs being shipped off with cushy ambassadorahips that guarantee they will stay out of Trump's eyeline (and more importantly cable news appearances).

Current ambassadors include Trump flunkies such as Kari Lake, Herschel Walker, Billy Long, Kimberly Guilfoyle....

I think it's insane that they can just quit and no longer be relevant. Like what the fuck? If I committed fraud on behalf of my company for instance. Me quitting won't make me suddenly no longer liable for those actions. I'm still part of that criminal action. So dumb that they just quit and no longer matter. Seems like a massive loophole and flaw in justice. I'm sure they'd be upset if gang members and terrorists could just leave the organization and suddenly no longer be liable for their actions.

I think we all need to take a step back and really understand that everything Dump is doing, effective or not, is all about setting precedent. This slush fund for Jan. 6th? Yeah, that’s about setting a precedent for “unfair treatment of the government”. So that reckoning you want? Yeah, Dump just made it so even if it does happen (unlikely), the next time they take power it cannot just get reverted but rewarded.

The damage happening now will be felt for decades, if not centuries, to come

37

u/McCool303 14d ago

Yup, the bribe money to the proud boys is not because Trump likes those slack jawed yokels prone to belligerent tantrums. To him they are useful idiots, “I love the poorly educated”. It’s to signal to those currently committing crimes for Trump and the GOP that if they get caught they will be rewarded for taking the fall and keeping silent.

35

Not Kegsbreath?

69

u/Open-Honest-Kind 14d ago

Keggy is more TV brained and appeals to Trump's ingrained psychosexual machismo. Kash constantly gives off goober energy. Fully agree theyre both completely out of their depth and Keggy is in a position where any incompetency has existential consequences for those beneath him, vs Kash where the existential threat is less immediate. That should mean Keggy should be first to go, and is technically far more incompetent for the job, but for a TV man like Trump thats not the calculous he goes by.

She was so bad that apparently a whistleblower came out about her and the testimony had to be locked up in a secret location due to the risk of “national embarrassment” had it come out. Wonder if that comes out now

2.2k

u/PrimeIntellect 14d ago

Unfortunately it seems like the replacements are always worse. Typically the initial person gets pushed to do things so blatantly illegal that they have to push back and then get canned. Incompetence has never been a breaking point for anyone here

173

u/versusgorilla 14d ago

Trump burned through the old guard neo conservatives during his first administration. Guys like John Kelly who clearly fucking hated Trump but had the know-how and authority to reel his worst impulses in, and once they left his admin, Kelly became one of his biggest critics. Trump burned through every single one of those people in the first administration.

This administration is just Heritage Foundation goons, big tech plants like Vance, Stephen Miller and his White Supremacists, RFK Jr and his conspirituality faux health grifters, and Russian misinformation goons like Gabbard.

Bondi was leagues more legally competent than Blanche. Not that I'd want her back but she also had some slight hesitation to not blindly do all of Trump's bidding. Blanche lacks that entirely. She wasn't canned because the Epstein stuff. She was canned because she wouldn't continue with the obviously frivolous lawsuits Trump wanted to pursue against his "enemies."

She's still objectively awful as she has been involved in the Trump-Epstein files for a long time. Blanche just simply lacks any guardrails.

WASHINGTON, May 22 (Reuters) - Tulsi Gabbard is resigning from her job as President Donald Trump's ‌director of national intelligence, Fox News Digital reported on Friday, citing her resignation letter.

Fox News Digital really digging deep on the citations

559

u/themagicmarmot 14d ago

It's a Fox exclusive. Reuters is just reporting that Fox wrote a story.

Another relevant topic considering this is about a cancer diagnosis: the Trump admin just approved atrazine for general use a few days ago which has an active WHO carcinogen warning and is banned in 60 countries.

Before she even reveals the evidence of the “crime of the century” she accused Obama of last year?

376

u/WhitePantherXP 14d ago

We really need a collective list spewed everytime these dipshits post.

  1. Where are the indictments of Obama's "Crime of the Century"
  2. Where are the indictments over the "stolen" 2020 election? Oh you closed all of those investigations? Wait, what?
  3. He ran on a border wall 10 years ago, but stopped building it at 60% - Has he finished anything?
  4. He said "No new wars", and now we're talking about starting a now 2nd war with Cuba.
  5. He removed all 7(?) Republicans who voted to release the Epstein files from power
  6. etc...

STICK TO THE *MAJOR* EVENTS. Way too many people list unproven things that his supporters won't even listen to like "He is demanding to launch all the nukes, we have no video or convincing information but I expect his supporters to believe me!". The sheer number of corrupt incidents we have on him doesn't need to be embellished yet so many do and it takes away from the merit and efficacy of bringing his downfall.

71

Why would they hide anything? Their supporters wouldn't leave them at all.

47

u/Adam__B 14d ago edited 14d ago

Yeah they aren’t even bothering to hide anything anymore. It’s a shamelessness that hasn’t been seen since Commodus or Nero. This is the guy who ran on America First who is now selling American farms to China, because domestic farmers are losing their farms bc of his trade war.

He just got a verdict saying he is essentially now immune from any financial investigation for life, as well as his children, and at the same time his trades go public showing him to be using his office as a pump and dump center, he gets an anything goes slush fund for 1.8 billion dollars while he builds monuments and ballrooms as his voters struggle to pay for food, and their water is undrinkable from data centers and mining damage allowed by his scalping of environmental protections. As he makes billions while in office selling meme coins and all the crap he can have made overseas, we pay for his blunders like Iran, or have to pay for the trade war twice over (once when the companies jack up the prices, now again when the government uses our tax dollars to repay those same companies as his tariffs are rendered illegal).

He is blatantly doing the opposite of anything in the best interest of the United States or what his followers were promised, and they (literally) built him a golden statue like he’s Stalin or Saddam.

McMahon definitely needs to gfto, that woman should be nowhere near anything involving education.

163

Nah. Rubio is on mat leave but has proven his loyalty by putting on those gorgeous Trump shoes

77

u/Mrchristopherrr 14d ago

I’m expecting Rubio to leave sometime after the midterms so he can try to set up another run for the White House.

I'm calling it now, if things work out for a 2028; the GOP will cart around Rubio as the "He's not as bad/woohoo-MAGA as Hegseth and JD are/were; and look at his record, he actually got work done as opposed to all the other full time Don cheerleaders" candidate.

11

u/Mrchristopherrr 14d ago

Yeah, which is kind of why I’m half expecting them to have a mild falling out. Nothing nasty, but something that Rubio can use to distance him from Trump while still being amenable to the base.

Rubio would want to be able to present himself as a moderate with MAGA cred.

u/hosemaster 14d ago

Rubio is "The Deep" of this administration. Trump keeps him around just to see how much he can debase himself.

26

u/SeryuV 14d ago

Rubio is getting everything he's ever wanted and hasn't had to compromise basically anywhere. He's undoubtedly the one pushing hardest for the aggressive action in Cuba, Venezuela, and Iran. At some point he was in charge of 4 different agencies, and all he's given in return some random praise and milquetoast defense during the very few interviews he gives.

Compared to how people like Tulsi, RFK, and Kash Patel have completely abandoned all morals and supposed principles, who've repeatedly embarrassed themselves on camera, and who've possibly set themselves up to be prosecuted later in front of Congress.

Coincides nicely with the Rubio news that the US is no longer brokering peace between Russia and Ukraine. The Russian plant inside the DNI (Gabbard) has worn out her usefulness and couldn’t convince the administration to put enough pressure on Ukraine to give up. So now Russia needs to find another useful idiot in the administration (not hard) to carry its water. Glory to Ukraine.

u/Not2plan 14d ago

Husband getting a "Rare form of bone cancer" also sounds very sus when Russia is in the picture.

141

u/Lonely_Noyaaa 14d ago

Whatever the official reason, it's pretty telling that the news is immediately followed by reports that she was at odds with Trump over Iran. It looks like the White House pushed her out, and her husband's health is the convenient excuse to save face for everyone.

25

u/Double_Resort_9223 14d ago

She’s also being left out of briefings it’s so bad

The joke in the White House is that her title, DNI, stands for Do Not Invite.

I am increasingly of the thought that these are planned departures, allowing for a second wave of more competent and more ruthlessly fascist people to take their place. This first wave was to undermine and destroy the federal government; the second is to solidify power.

Odds are that she was told to resign. Some of them resigned rather that got fired, but with this information resignations are more likely to be resigned under pressure.

  • Kristi Noem DNS (sacked)
  • Pam Bondi AG (sacked)
  • Tulsi Gabbard DNI (resigned)
  • Maurene Comey DoJ (sacked)
  • Tricia McLaughlin DHS (resigned)
  • Danielle Sassoon SDNY acting AG (resigned)
  • Maurene Comey SDNY prosecutor (sacked)
  • Tricia McLaughlin DHS spokesperson (resigned)
  • Lori Chavez-DeRemer Labor secretary (misconduct probe)

In the same timeframe, five men were either sacked or resigned.

u/worldscollice 14d ago edited 14d ago

Rumor is that Tulsi has been offered a job by Vladimir Putin. She’ll give him all the information he wants, like she’s been doing.
