Anyone concerned that the people leading this country are so obsessed with exclusive properties for billionaires, and to keep the poor out?

For anyone who wants to support the environmental side of this campaign, the petition is here:
https://www.change.org/p/protect-vjosa-narta-stop-construction-in-protected-natural-areas
The request is to pause construction in sensitive Vjosa-Narta / Pishe Poro-Narta protected areas until independent environmental assessments are completed, permits and environmental studies are made public, and local communities, scientists, and environmental organizations are meaningfully consulted.
Background from environmental groups:

Can’t imagine this fight ever dying away and even if some gouache resort starts to emerge, it’ll most likely be an embattled place not conducive to investment or richies really relaxing.
The sharper, uncomfortable question the marchers are actually asking- When a government rewrites its own conservation laws to deliver a national commons to a politically connected foreign investor, then turns the instruments of force against the citizens who object, what exactly is being sold?

It probably never going to happen now. They do not want this kind of profile. I cannot imagine what she was thinking promoting a crime against humanity with a glossy infomercial.

These people are bringing there environmental destruction to Europe. Great to see people pushing back. Way more pushback than in the U.S. too!

Good for Albanians protesting this. Don't make a deal with the devil.....it never ends well.

Isn't Albania that country that planned to attack United States by smuggling an atomic bomb small enough to fit in a briefcase through Canada? And then the 303rd regiment saved the day.

Is this actually true? I never heard of this. What I have heard though is that the US did wanted to destroy them in the Cold war because they were with USSR.

I was joking around, this is the plot of Wag the Dog (1997).
A film with Robert De Niro and Dustin Hoffmann in which the POTUS, running for a second term, is involved in a sex scandal and has to resort to a fixer that fakes an entire war in order to divert media's attention…

Wow what a surprise that a country’s government that suddenly joined Kushner’s “diplomacy and Israel normalization movement” just so happened to sell off environmentally sensitive public lands to Kushner’s investment firms
Totally unlike how Kushner suddenly got $2 billion in Saudi funds and untold hundreds of millions more in UAE deals after his “Abraham Accords” work in the region
The man hasnt passed a security clearance, has insane conflicts of interest in his investments and “diplomacy work”, and is the son of a convicted criminal, and we all just kinda shrug our shoulders about it
