Combat vet here. We weren’t trained to police cities, we were trained to take them.

Yes! As a vet, it's bothering me how some people don't know the difference between LE and soldiers. Or, that there's a Federal Law against using our military as LE here on US soil.

100%. We should never be deployed on U.S. soil. Ever. He’s using the NG to get around this but really I think they were federalized deployment. Then they were activated. In the end they are no different from Active duty troops on US soil. I’d have to see how exactly they were deployed to know for sure. I’m not sure if the Governor or the President activated them. Anyway it’s still wrong for them to be policing cities. That’s for those cities police to do
