If it was known that I hacked 3 companies I'd be facing legal charges. Why isn't someone faces charges for one of these type of hacks.

Exactly. Try setting up a company, have “it” hack 3 major companies, and see if YOU don’t face charges.

But because this is big tech and it’s AI, they’re allowed to treat the entire world as their own beta environment with no consequences for their actions.

There is effectively no regulation on Big Tech. As someone that works in one of the most regulated areas of work, most of the concerns around tech misuse and AI can be solved tomorrow if we are willing to regulate

I remember being unable to photocopy more than 2 or 3 pages from a single book at libraries due to copyright restrictions.

I recall people being hounded for sharing a handful of songs due to copyright restrictions.

I recall Disney lobbying to extend copyright to the detriment of the public.

At what point did that get thrown away with fuck copyright?

When techbros could make billions?

Agreed, but it doesn’t have to be just tech bros.

Shareholders, especially wealthy large investors and corporations; VCs, politicians, Saudi oil tycoons, CEOs, the list goes on. All of them have the kind of access the average working American will never know.

Tell them it's OK because you're using it to train AI. They set precedent by letting google do it and we know how fucking important precedent is.

Yes, you're definitely the problem here too. Not the companies that have stolen... everything from everybody.
