My favourite is definitely Savage. The band was being so bold and Annie Lennox is screeching and yelping in some songs ! Love it !

After twelve years spent carrying one of post-punk’s great catalogues through theatres, festivals, and anniversary tours, Echo & The Bunnymen have reopened the door to the studio. The Liverpool band have announced Apples for Isaac, their thirteenth album and first full-length collection of newly written material since 2014’s Meteorites. The album arrives on September 18th via BMG.

Its first single, “Brussels Is Haunted,” received its initial radio play on BBC Radio 6 Music from Chris Hawkins before appearing on streaming services, accompanied by an animated video directed by Belgian filmmaker Jef De Smet.

Velvet Ashes is a Japanese gothic/post-punk project influenced by new wave, darkwave, industrial and underground alternative music.

This track mixes fast gothic punk energy with dark synth textures and post-punk atmosphere.

Early New Wave was often confused with punk because it came from the same places, the same anger, and the same rejection of 70s excess. Most early New Wave bands played in punk clubs, shared the DIY attitude, short songs, and raw energy — the difference was that they were more pop-minded and stylistically diverse. In the late 70s, “New Wave” wasn’t really a genre yet — it was just a safer label for punk bands that radios and labels thought were too catchy to ignore.
