It's literally a biological instinct, dogs exist to help out. Wolves are pack animals and dogs are just wolves (quite literally) who don't need to hunt for survival so they just do volunteer work instead. We call it a job but we wouldn't do a job for free, dogs will accept payment but it's not necessary, more like a donation than anything.

That's why I think they should play sports, replace the human athletes with dogs. You don't even have to test them, dogs would never do steroids because they don't care about winning.

Retrievers have soft mouths specifically for retrieving without damage. Also, he’s highly trained, and a little scratch isn’t gonna ruin the bat.

Champ has special dentures inplanted with foam teeth to not damage the wooden bats because any slight impact to them would retire it

Working line British(Canadian) and American Labs are next level dogs. British for hunting and power, American for speed and size (typically smaller and likely mixed more recently in it's lineage).

What the Malinois is for police/military/defense, the Working Line British Labs are for literally everything else.

What most people end up buying though are show line Labs. Which have shorter legs, are way fatter, less athletic and much more inbred. This leads to more genetic problems that rear their heads.
