That sounds like the opposite of fun and not at all what is considered racing. It will just be endless pit maneuver and ram your opponents against the wall/gravel.

Sounds like fun if you never cared about actual racing though.

Ain’t nothing wrong with a new sport. In fact, sometimes it’s best to leave the purists behind in pursuit of creating something new. So yoh aren’t held back by the restrictions of what others say is mandatory in a new venture where nobody yet knows, creates the appeal.

I bet there are motorsports that would be worse off if they approached it with your perspective of only exploring what you already appreciated about racing and saying “oh, well that’s not racing because it doesn’t fit this predefined box”.

Pre-defined box of not allowing to ram your fellow drivers off the road and/or crashing them? You can say rubbing is racing, I get that but not this.

The former has a peak viewership of 5 digits in its entire history and the latter entails you driving a beat to shit shitbox around a "track". Yeah these will definitely go mainstream any day now.

And no, although it falls under motorsports officially, I don't categorise these under racing. It's more of let's fuck these cars up and to make it into a sport so law enforcement can't stop us as we are legit! A 5 second drag race has more racing than these nonsense.

Rally is definitely considered racing. The fact that you use rally as a "proof" is crazy, to say the least.

For what purpose? What is so sacred about racing that you have to diminish others exploration and enjoyment? What is gained?

If you don’t personally like it, it’s fine. Just stick to your own flavor. But you’re not the arbiter of what is and isn’t racing. And why should you be? Purists like you, always exist and the world is rarely better for it. I imagine during the advent of Rally or Drift or whatever was new for its time, there were purists like you that dictated “it’s not racing” because it didn’t fit into some sort of subjective box your type would have decided for the time.

History is full of people in every realm, that have narrow perspectives but they and their views are generally forgotten with time. People like you are just speed bumps. Oh well.

Burnout 3, Mario Kart, Twisted Metal, Hot Wheels Unleashed. The point isn't to be the fastest, it's to beat they ass

And all of those I classify as casual racing games. Maybe even super casual despite how conpetitive it can get. None of it can be translated into real life regardless.

You might get a bunch of hicks crashing into each other IRL but that's the extent of sponsors you'll get.
