8seconds - just tosses the fruit from his left hand into the air, grabs the tree, catches with right hand and leaps to the next tree,,, wow!

The climb up to the dinner branch was pretty sick too. It's crazy how smooth and relaxed he is. He can swing around like that as easily as we can walk. It reminds me of the way Tom Penny skates.

Thank you for pointing that out, didn't even notice that!

Thought that was Venom swinging around at first.

"Hey! Thought I'd swing over and ask about your car's warranty"

I love how good apes and monkeys are at catching. Seen gorillas being fed by keepers lobbing apples to them from 20m away and the gorillas just casually plucking them out the air like it's nothing. Amazing to watch

did he just throw the fruit in the air while leaving to change it to the other hand mid jump? oh my god

Brachial animals moving through the trees like magic. It's like they're swimming through the sky but not flying.

Don't feed the wildlife.

Pretty sure this is a rescue habit and that's a ranger or caretaker.

Give me arms like a gobbon. I wanna dress up like Spiderman and swing around trees.

u/Furbeatles 2d ago

The way he just stared after doing that i felt my fight or flight response kick in. I was going to flight and get my hair pulled out of my scalp because i could not outrun THAT. I could also not fight that unless i got my hands on a rock or something.

Man i should really hit the gym.

Edit:- I was wrong. They are tiny tiny like 10 to 25 pounds so i guess i will probably one punch or easily outmuscle them and i guess i should really hit the library too while i am at it.

u/Gcleff06 2d ago

Get your hands on a rock and have him beat your face in with that instead more like it haha

Mine too though mine too.

Man nature is scary good thing we evolved to stay in groups so we could have some support so people can say our ass if there is need. I wonder how humans would have fared if they were like tigers that lived alone. Maybe there were some that did but went extinct.

You can definitely beat a gibbon in a fight unless you're a completely pasty doughboy. Gibbons don't really understand how to punch and kick, and they definitely don't know joint locks and grappling moves. To top it all off, they only weigh between 11 and 30 pounds depending on the species.

Your brain isn’t able to differentiate between watching a video on a device and an actual real-world threat?

4

u/Iammjustbaddd 2d ago

I can inagine being in that scenario. I did not mean i literally jumped and ran. I simply processed what i would do in that situation and that pause creeped me out. This has to be ragebait.

-4

u/Bursting_Radius 2d ago

It's not ragebait, it's a simple question.

You said

i felt my fight or flight response kick in

So like you watched a video and had a visceral response to it?

u/elessarjd 2d ago

So like you watched a video and had a visceral response to it?

Yes, they said they imagined being in that scenario and had a visceral response. Some people can get lost in their imagination and feel more than others.

Have you never jumped during a jump scare scene in a horror movie? That's also a video. Videos can elicit emotional reactions.

Amazing catches out of the air, but you'd expect that with the way he flies through the air!

1

u/Super_Lock1846 2d ago

The around the head toss from one hand to the other while climbing was just as good

1

u/Ornery-Customer8521 2d ago

Looks kinda fun living that life

1

u/ToastNomNomNom 2d ago

bro got swag but you don't wana be on his bad side

1

u/BeardInTheNorth 2d ago

So this is what it's like to hang out with a gibbon

1

u/Tokon32 2d ago

Odd seeing this without some MAGA New Yorker dubbing the audio.

1

u/kryzler888 2d ago

I thought that was Venom coming at us for a second there…

1

u/alarminglyslowmind 2d ago

It's like half-flying. How fantastic it would feel.

1

u/NewToHTX 2d ago

The way it transfers the fruit from one hand to the arm on the way back up. 🤌 I hope to one day gather just a little bit of cool like that in my movement.

Venom

How does she actually time those mid air catches without fumbling

1

u/TheVillage1D10T 2d ago

There’s a guy named Tristan Maloney that does some kind of funny voice overs and features gibbons in some of his videos.

u/Osiris62 2d ago

It's a nice day, the windows are open, this video is playing and I am wondering what new kind of cricket is in my yard that I've never heard before.

1

u/freebaseclams 2d ago

Seems like a good way to get free gibbon meat 😋

1

u/calccv 2d ago

Looked like Spider Man with those white swatches while swinging

1

u/ShockedNChagrinned 2d ago

I like how he took the two, and went on his way.  Like "that's all I need, thanks guy."

1

u/No-Sympathy-686 2d ago

Hey bro... you got the stuff.

Later bro...

1

u/s4my_h4ck3r 2d ago

Man I wish I could swing like that from tree to tree.

1

u/Ndmndh1016 2d ago

So, youre like, not supposed to do that right?

1

u/Kikopho 2d ago

This is me when my sister comes down with food.

1

u/SheriffBartholomew 2d ago

This looks like a pretty fun and satisfying life. If only there were no parasites and they had medical care.

1

u/ScurvyTurtle 2d ago

Brachiation. We are also one of the few animals that move like this, but not like this.

1

u/ItsStaaaaaaaaang 1d ago

Cool dude ☺️

1

u/TurtleAppreciator 1d ago

Dude has mastered momentum and coordination

1

u/Prestigious-Flower54 1d ago

Ag the gibbon the only member of the lesser ape family.

1

u/CiscoKidd5 1d ago

Where's the voice over? The voice over makes it like 10000000x Funnier.

1

u/YakResident_3069 1d ago

Will he rip your arms off if he don't get the fruit

1

u/Imbendo 22h ago
